Big game tonight against one of the best. Need to be better than they were in Detroit.

I need to see a few more replays, in different angles. Kronny hits with his back, and steps into that same spot every time. Voracek is a huge guy, playing with his head down. Interesting.

I'll be completely honest.. this was a 100% clean hit last year and before. HOWEVER, with the NHL's focus on cracking down on hitting the head this was a 5-minute major worthy and game misconduct penalty.

From my understanding, any targeting of the head, no matter head down or up is a serious offense. The Hartnell penalty call was complete bulls**t, and I thank the hockey gods for taking action with Talbot's goal.

I really want to hear the NHL's view on that hit. Kronwall has a few questionable hits like that, because of the way he starts the check, and the way he actually hits.

EDIT: Whenever the video pops up, someone please post it in the NHL forum. I'm really curious about opinions on this hit.

That was a clean hit...Just saw the replay and its clean...It is a good no call and he should not get a fine or suspension. I know you want to protect the players but if you fine for that you are messing with the integrity of hockey. Its a hard hit but its clean

Idk thats tough...his head was down but he actually pulls his head up some before contact (not all the way). Initial contact was shoulder to head.

With the way the NHL is cracking down on hits to the head it isn't a clean hit, but if Voracek isn't hanging his head the hit would still be just as vicious and probably result in a concussion regardless.

I can see both sides...IMO this hit will be debated for a long time.

Flyers had a few opportunities to take some big runs at Wing players and held back...let's see if they do the same in the 3rd.
