I opened with a 450 squat. Went real easy. 2nd attempt I nailed 501. The provincial record is 517 for my class (120 kg junior) so I went for 530. I went way too far down and missed it. I actually grinded it out and almost got it.
I opened with a 335 bench. It flew off me but I didn't wait for the rack call so it didn't count. 2nd attempt was 350 and I nailed it. 3rd attempt I went for 380, went way too slow down and the pause was like a 4 second pause, pretty ridiculous. I wasn't allowed to lift my head either so I had no idea where I was putting the bar. I missed this attempt
I opened with a 550 dead. Real easy. 2nd attempt I jumped to 608, missed it. My *** flew up and technique was just awful. Third attempt I retried 608. I had it almost up to my knees and my hamstring popped... so I obviously dropped it. It didn't snap but it's severly sprained. I have a hard time walking on it.
All in all it wasn't a bad meet. Some real dumb rules like I wasn't allowed to wear my efs wrist wraps cause efs doesn't sponser the ipf, but the guy spotting me was wearing a efs shirt...
I had to buy new undies cause boxers weren't allowed, I had to wear briefs :S
I won best junior lifter so that was kinda cool. I probably would have won best lifter had I hit my 530 squat and 608 dead.
