Official Free Agency/Trade/Draft Idea Thread II

Starting this thread to track the Saints in Free agency. We've probably all heard about the Saints having MLB Lofa Tatupu in for a visit last month. Well, here's another visit that I think some of us wouldn't have expected. Jay Glazer is reporting that Randy Moss will workout (not visit but workout) for the Saints on Tuesday. With Marques Colston and Robert Meachem both poised for free agency, the Saints are probably looking for Moss to prove that he still has the 4.3 speed he says he does.

    3/22/2012 EDIT:

Here's a list of all of the Saints free agents for 2012

With the possibility of the loss of draft picks this year, the Saints need to do everything they can ASAP in free agency. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

If Moss still has his endzone skills and we can keep him in line, holy ****.....

Yeah, I agree with this. No need to get into panic mode (due to that whole "lose our draft" rumor)...but take advantage of a lot of players being let go as cap casualties. I'm always looking for a good bargin.

And I still think we'll release a couple of players on our roster that wind up getting suspended. That will afford us more of an opportunity to make a splash in FA.

    Amen!

Also, Moss' first season in New England was right after Spygate, and the Patriots went undefeated. Just pointing it out.

If we make it to the Super Bowl in the Superdome, I'm going to go out on a limb and say we win it. I have that feeling lol

Oh man, you're setting us up for the worst upset in the history of sports with that bad mojo...

We'd have to actually get there first. It's not easy as we saw with last season. With a rebuilding defense and Brees, the WR corps and the O-line all being questionable, making the playoffs needs to be our primary goal.

According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, free agent Randy Moss "lit it up" in Tuesday's workout.
Moss was scheduled to work out for the Saints, though Glazer's report suggests other teams may have been in attendance. Moss ran about 45 routes and "looked like the old Randy," leaving all parties "pretty floored" by the workout. Glazer's sense is that those in attendance didn't expect Moss to perform nearly as well as he did

Sounds good!! Make it happen, Mickey

Did not expect that from Moss at his advanced age. Good showing.

Better get him inked now before we lose Colston. Otherwise he'll probably want more.
