    What about this???

What if we keep Stuckey and just trade our 2012 #1 pick along with Austin Daye to Utah for Derrick Favors.

    2012 Draft
    2nd Round - Tu Holloway

    2012-13 Pistons

    Knight/Holloway
    Stuckey/Gordon
    Prince/Singler
    Favors/Jerekbo
    Monroe/Macklin

    * This wouldn't be to shabby either because after Davis and Kidd-Gilcrest I would much rather have Derrick Favors then anyone in this draft.

I might think about it depending where we are picking. I have said this before, but I think Utah would rather move Jefferson or Milsap first. Also where are Bynum and Maxiell? Maybe we could package them with Singler's rights for a high 2nd rd pick(#34-#37)? I don't see Singler ever playing for us.

What the hell are you saying? I need this decoded. But you may not even be able to understand what you wrote.

You called me a bandwagon fan which to me is someone who jumps on board when the team is winning not to a team with 12 wins. Also you continue to talk crap to people who dont like want Dumars has been doing lately just because you still cant let go of that championship but im done arguing with you about that cause you dont get it.

lol at least he dumped the Okafor part of his plan.

Seriously though I laugh when he posts because as soon as I see his ID I'm like "here we go" with a new proposal, regardless of thread

I almost died a couple weeks ago when people disagreed with him and he was calling everyone idiots. Usually he just posts it and leaves for awhile until he comes back to post another.

Spences, I'm not trying to insult you, it's all good but you crack me up

I don't know, sometimes I have to defend myself as well. I am not a GM, never will be, but it is fun to talk about our team's past/present/future. Oh, thanks for the PM, I have been watching every game I can.

No worries on the Okafor shot

I get that everyone thinks Okafor is an overpaid player and all. But didn't we pay Ben Wallace similiar money to be even less effective offensively??? Just a thought.

The simple issue is we need a big to pair with Monroe

    Options

    On team
    Maxiell - to small
Villanueva - no defense, no post game, and weak rebounder
Jerekbo - should play more small forward, to light to be a primary big
Macklin - role player at best

    Draft
Anthony Davis - if we win the lottery the Davis/Monroe combo could be compared to Duncan/Robinson someday
Jared Sullinger - solid player but is he to short to dominate at the NBA level
Meyers Leonard - lots of potential but will take time to develop (3-4 yrs maybe)
the Zeller boys - role players at the NBA level at best

    Trade
Favors - this would be ideal
Jefferson - the contract is big but still would form a nice combo with Moose
Okafor - would rather have the top 2.

What about Chris Kaman in the offseason on the full mid-level (wonder if he would take it to come home to Michigan)

Drafting Kidd-Gilcrest and signing Kaman could be our best option.

    Here we go!

So, I was thinking about if we draft outside the top 4-5. Would you all do this, would the Hawks do this? Discuss...

    Pistons Get:
    J Smith
    Atl's 1st rd pick(#20?)

    Hawks Get:
    J Maxiell
    J Jerebko
    A Daye
    Our 1st rd pick(#6?)

We then still have picks around #20/#36/#42. We lose Jerebko and 12 spots in the draft for Smith. Maxiell and Daye are just to make it work(does on trade machine). Plus, Daye is a team option(2mil$), Maxiell has a player option(5mil$), I see him taking that. For the Hawks, it would allow them flexibility to see how Daye and Maxiell work out. If it doesn't work then they have 6-7mil$ coming off the books by 2013. They get a higher draft pick, plus Jerebko, nuff said.
