left handed shot and his favorite player is.... drum roll please...... rick nash
wow trades are coming in now
wow gilroy to sens
Carter Ashton, Right Wing
Tri-City Americans, WHL
29th overall, 2009, 20 years old
6'3, 200 lbs
A big boy who is learning how to use his frame, Ashton is a scorer below the hashmarks. His skating is average with some needed improvement in the mechanics, otherwise he's mobile enough for the pro game. He works the cycle game well with his size and plays a real meat and potatoes game because of it. He's a two-way player who understands his role defensively, as well. There was some top six upside early in his career but since then people are starting to question if he's really a scorer.
Upside: Third Line Two-Way Power Winger, who can contribute on the PP as a Big Body
NHL Comparable? Ryan Malone
he`s been called a student of the game. Above average hockey smarts (might be the best of his draft year) above average PP, PK,two-way, 5on 5 guy, so essentially a good overall and complete player.
comes from a good pedigree, his dad played 998 NHL games. he`s been compared to joe thorton, like colborne, (someone said that good call).
Overall he`s a mean player on the ice, and is effective
Its too bad, I really liked Aulie ever since the World Juniors and the story of how he saved his dad from drowning. Not saying its a bad deal just a personal bro-mance.
Burke regarding Ashton: "Size and skill, big body with good wheels.''
Ashton is also very strong on the puck.
nash is a better that 50% chance to move
omg i think he who must not be named called this one the pahlson trade
