    Datsyuk Injury

    Knee surgery will sideline Pavel Datysuk for two weeks.
    In a subsequent St. James tweet, coach Mike Babcock noted the injury was related to an "old" problem that had been nagging the star center. The time is now to address as opposed to letting it linger what with the postseason nearing. Datsyuk lead the Red Wings with 59 points: 16-43.

    great.
    At least Toews (where is the Z in his name?) is out too, so it should be sort of a wash. buuutt, I'M IN NO WAY COMPARING THE TWO, THOUGH!!!

    For tonight losing Pavel won't be as bad because Toews is out but it'll be very tough to beat Vancouver on Thursday without him.

    So do you think this injury might push Holland to make a move or will he just sit and wait it out since the injury doesn't seem to be major?

    This injury will not affect any trade decisions. This is not V-mart getting sidelined for 162 games

    This makes me nervous. I know he will be fine, but two weeks without him... Home ice advantage means everything to this team come playoff time.

    Then it's a good thing Z is on a tear right now.

    Z is a horrible fit on the top line. I'd rather Val takes the middle, and Z plays with Hudler, and Clearly.

    Hudler has pissed me off so much, as he never shoots. Quincey will take his spot on the second PP unit on the point IMO. I hope Hudler plays forward now. Homer's seriously struggled.

    I'd roll with;

    Franzen - Val - Bert
    Hud - Z - Cleary
    Miller - Helm - Abby
    Mursak - Emmerton - Homer

    Lidstrom - White
    Kronny - Stuart
    Quincey - Ericsson
