Kind of far away from their main fan base. Although I guess at one point in time you could have said the jets in n.j. wasn't going to work out either. Another reason it wouldn't work is MSGs event schedule. With the Rangers, Knicks, Liberty, concerts, etc fitting in 41 more NHL games plus playoffs would probably be impossible.

NJD? give me one source that hints at the devils having any chanc eof moving. They just got a new stadium like 3-4 years ago. They just signed a superstar to a10 year deal.

They could move before the new arena, but the fact that a new arena is coming is all the more enticing for an NHL franchise

Bro NJD doesn't technically have an owner, he's broke. The NHL funds the team at the moment

I'm not saying their likely to move, but if the only buyers are owners lookin to move a team that's what they are forced with
I doubt they move though, but at the moment there's 3 moveable teams (split like 48/48/2(NJD))
And I doubt the NHL expands

Youre still so wrong. it's 99/1/.00000000001 with the last being the devils and the 1 being the isles. The PHoenix coyotes have essentially a 100% chance of moving in the next 3 years. The Isles have almost a 0% chance of moving in the next 3 years

Obviously the Isles aren't moving over the next 3 years, it's the immediate time after that where we might move

^that's a neat piece of trivia and i've always thought that the nhl would want to keep it that way. however, i don't think that will end up being a major factor why the team leaves or stays.

In another year, there won't be enough time to plan, build, and have ready a new arena for the Isles. That will mean they will have to play at least one season in an already existing venue. I don't know the NY/LI area that well, but it seems to me the only suitable arena will be the Barclay center if they stay in the area. And I pray they do!
