I'm in that boat with you, bro. I'm of the mindset that Lowry has hit his ceiling.

Why do that when we could apparently get Lillard or Marshall, both whom I think have much higher upside than Lowry (and I'm not even high on Lillard in the slightest).

Lowry is good and proven however I wouldn't give up the 6th for him

Because although Marshall and Lillard may have a higher ceiling, they also have much more risk. Lowry is a 15 ppg, 6 apg guy and is 26 years old. I'm not sure if Marshall will ever reach 15 ppg (although he will be a great pro and I'm for taking him) and have doubts that Lillard will ever get 6 apg.

Everyone talking about giving up all our picks for Lowry, and I'm not digging it. 15ppg and 6 ast doesn't intrigue me. And he is 26. I'd rather draft a 20 year old, to be our pg for the next 10 years, then get one who will be it for 4. IF we were close to a ring, and were just a great pg away, then i give up the pick for lowry. But we aren't. A slightly above average pg, doesn't take us anywhere but out of the first round.

in my opinion, way better to draft the rookie, who is cheap, and spend the salary $ elsewhere. How much better is lowry than dradgic? I'd rather have dragic+lillard, than just lowry.

Its not like Lowry's 6 million average over the next two years is expensive. If anything he is a bargain for what he'll provide immediately. I would imagine the people who would support a Lowry trade are the ones who think Portland could compete this year. If you're going to rebuild, then you'd be better off taking your choice in young PG and a nice prospect at 6.

Also I believe Dragic is restricted so its likely Rockets would match anything you offer in the event Lowry is dealt.

Ya i mean 6 mill isn't huge, don't get me wrong. But our team is so limited, i'd rather spend 1.2 mil on a rookie, and 4 mill some talent elsewhere.

I will preface it this way. I can care less abuot being a 6-8 seed, and going out in the first round. Or even making it to the 2nd and getting stomped. I guess it's good portland has had that attitude in the past. Being like a golden state fan, or the bucks, just making moves to hope to field a playoff team. What's the point?

Not that I would trade the 6th pick for Lowry, but where he is right now as a player is better than Marshall will ever be. Lillard's ceiling is far higher than Lowry's though.

dragic will fetch about 7 or 8 million if FA. lowry is 6 mil plus 11th?

id rather spend the extra 2 million (if he signs) and keep the 11th and dragic. idk why we'd give the 11th overall pick in a very DEEP draft and FA money for a above avg PG is beside me.

Lillard will be are pick thursday at #6 im hoping Zeller at 11th everybodys moving up i say get Zeller bring back Pryzbilla so Zeller can learn from Pryz(not racist but easier to learn from another white guy lol) and Pryzbilla 2.0 with offense would be a good player draft Jared Cunningham(best case: poor mans Pippen/Roy worst case:Gerald Green) and Jae Crowder(best case:shorter Lamar Odom Worst case:shorter Darius Miles without the dunk)

I'm kind of shocked at the lack of support for a lowry deal in here. I thought a pg with great defense that is also a leader and tough as nails competitor would be perfect for portland.

lowery has clearly hit his ceiling plus he is 25 or 26 id much rather take Lillard who imo is D-Rose 2.0 with a jump shot thats how good he has looked
