Just read on ESPN insiders that Joel has made his choice and that deal is almost finale. He would not say who it was with however he apparently gave the feeling that he chose to come back to Portland. Would be nice to have him back. He's physical and perfect option to come off the bench for Camby.

Does not surprise me at all. I remember when he turned down contenders to take less money to stay in Portland. He loves playing for the Blazers, does not matter if we are winning or loosing.

Center Joel Przybilla has agreed to return to the Trail Blazers on a veteran's minimum deal through the end of the season, two sources told SI.com.
The 32-year-old big man spent six-plus seasons with the Blazers before being traded to the Bobcats a year ago, but he played just five games for Charlotte because he hadn't yet recovered from a brutal string of injuries. Przybilla, who started for most of his time in Portland, ruptured his patella tendon on Dec. 22, 2009 and had surgery. Nearly three months later, he required surgery again after slipping in the shower and re-injuring the knee.
It remains to be seen how much he can help at this stage of his career, but Portland (18-16) is clearly in need of more depth down low. Reserve center Kurt Thomas and forward Craig Smith have been handling those duties of late. Przybilla, who has not played this season, had been considering joining the Heat or Bulls, as well.

The Portland Trail Blazers acquired four players in exchange for two players at Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline. That puts the roster at 17 players, with two players needing to be released so that Portland is at the maximum of 15 players.

Ugh, that's terrible. Williams was starting to get the opportunity to show what he had, and then a damn injury...

Sam Amick of SI.com reports that the Portland Trail Blazers have acquired the rights to big man J.J. Hickson, who was bought out by the Sacramento Kings earlier this week. This counts as a genuine surprise: recent rumors had linked Hickson to the Golden State Warriors.

Hickson, a 23-year-old 6-foot-9, 242 lb. forward, was a first round draft pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers out of North Carolina State in 2009. He was traded by Cleveland to the Sacramento Kings just prior to the lockout in exchange for forward Omri Casspi.

Hickson averaged 4.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game off the bench for the Kings this season.

Portland's roster is currently full at 15 players, but the team could release center Mehmet Okur to free a roster spot, something Blazers Acting GM Chad Buchanan said was a possibility on Monday. The Blazers have also reportedly been in buyout discussions with forward Shawne Williams. Both Okur and Williams were acquired in the trade that sent forward Gerald Wallace to the New Jersey Nets.

    More details when available.

Man that kid has fallen so far so fast. I mean just 2 years ago Suns offered Amare for him strait up and Cavs turned it down. Now he has been traded for a no name SF and picked up off waivers.

Look forward to seeing what he can do for us!

Yah. If amare went to cleveland, i bet lebron stays. How different the league would have been. I bet the cavs GM stays up at night kicking himself for that.

And yah, hickson has tons of talent, but just no drive. We'll see though. He'll be playing for a contract, and maybe portland's crazy fans will pump him up.

IF he can get his career back on track then that could solve a lot of issues for us.
