Debating on driving home in the morning because of the weather.

We are in Bloomington-Normal, IL. Home is Cape Girardeau, MO. A little over 4 hours of a drive. But we are supposed to have really bad weather, and I don't want to get stuck in it. Wife won't let us leave tonight because 'that will ruin Christmas' even though we have been here since Friday.

Anyone know anything about the weather at this point?

We took Grandma home this afternoon because of the potential snow.

I think Cape is supposed to get a lot of snow, too.

We have like 3 inches on ground, its still snowing consistently hard and icing and the worst part hasn't even hit us yet lol

Not the 6-10 they originally predicted.

Got home safely.

Didn't see snow until Ste Gen, and it wasn't wet until Perryville.

Got home, they got about 6 inches, and about half of it melted throughout the day.

Not bad at all, driving conditions were fine.

For those that live in Missouri, you can always check out the modot weather conditions radar anytime you need to know the conditions ahead of schedule.

yeah it didn't even snow here in Normal..... predicted 1-2 and that did not happen

We saw some last night (in Normal) but they were brief.

You guys still have that snow from last Thursday night on the ground, but once you get to springfield, it's gone. And we didn't see snow the rest of the way down 55 until Ste Gen.

Dunno how many inches I got here, but it was a good amount. At least the snow was easy to shovel and I didn't have to go anywhere today.

The snow here wasn't bad overall. We have maybe between 4-6 inches but we got a lot of ice.

Roads are starting to get clear, side roads and parking lots are still solid sheets of ice but as long as you drive slow your in decent shape
