I'm with you warrior. i also hate feeling out of shape when bulking and i can't wait until spring so i can start doing cardio. i also cannot wait until it's time to start baling hay, which is awesome cardio!
Well it is...I am not green bro!! Lol...I swear that is the only thing photoshopped.
Decent little workout today
10 minutes precor
Done. Out of breath...Going back later for traps, abs, and cardio.
242 today after small breakfast and lots of water. Also, fully clothed with warmups...so probably 240 if I had shorts on. It's coming back...strength is still there, drive is coming back, just no endurance. I feel like I do have a little cold too, so that is not helping. Overall, pleased with the workout. I will definitely turn it up a couple of notches next week.
Incredibly impressive sig warrior. Although i love bulking
Limitations are for people that have them, and excuses are for people that need them.
Thanks GG!! I hate bulking...I used to love it. I think I have most of the size I want...I would like to be bigger, just finding it harder to do. Maybe next year.
Out of curiosity, you are in your mid 30's if I recall correctly? When did you start lifting and how did your weight/bf progress over time? In other words how did you land at 230 and such a low bf? Lots of bulk/cut cycles? Long term recomping? etc etc
I am 36...going to be 37 in October. I have been lifting on and off since childhood. Seriously though since about 18 or 19...I forget. I was always a bigger kid but not really fat. I did blow up after football season in high school, I went from a 29" waist, 170#, to 280 of blubber in a year or so. Anyway, I trained hard to lose that and lifted weights at the same time. I am one of those that believes weight training is a must, even if you are fat, which I was.
I've done lots of bulks and cuts over the years. I used to be a bit bigger when I was younger but injuries took some size away. Anyway, the only way is to be consistent with your training. I have good genetics, which helps. I benched 225@15 years old so I've always had strength.
Never was really into the recomping thing though. I am more of bulker or cutter. These days cutting is better since I finally mastered my diet.
Gotcha. I completely agree about lifting weights even when your only goal is weight loss. I just was talking to someone the other day about that who said something like "I don't need to lift I'm just losing weight and only do cardio" - I was like don't use that as an excuse hit the iron hard and you will save muscle and burn calories.
GL with the cut
Thanks Dlee, appreciate it.
I've lost 5 pounds in a week because of pneumonia... do you think i would be better of starting to shred now? or wait until spring and gain it back?
I would recover from being sick put it on to lose it again!
Managed to go back to gym, although didn't have much energy. Not 100% damn cold.
12 minutes precor
2 sets of lower abs, 2 sets upper, 2 sets obliques.
HS high curl
Walked treadmill 10 minutes.
Increased total cardio by 2 minutes from last night...that makes me happy!
Haven't been in the gym until today. Hate being sick. I was surprisingly strong still...
15 minutes precor
365*3 (no problem but didnt want to push too hard)
2 sets of gay pec deck.
3.5 minutes treadmill. Done. I had a little tightness in my left pec but overall felt extremely good. I am sure I could have repped 405 today but didn't want to push it. 242 on scale. I pigged out last two days though as I finally got my appetite back.
Back...4 minutes precor
2 sets of light shrugs. Done. Out of steam. Good strength no endurance.
