    Legacy of Tom Brady

Im a Lions fan so its not a "homer question"

If Brady win a 4th Super Bowl ..would he be considered by many the Greatest QB to ever play the game ?

Its rare to see a QB to have as much success in the regular season AND in the post season.

Uhm, he can never win another Super Bowl and still be in discussion by many as one of the greatest's to play the game. So I would assume if he won another one it would just seal the fate and be a done deal. The guy is just simply an incredible player.

This. I'm not a fan of the Patriots or Brady, but he will be in the same breath as some of the other all-time greats when it's all said and done. In many ways he already is.

He's the best QB I have ever seen play. Even better than Sam Bradford.

lol, you're not biased against Brady though.

If he wins again, especially this year........man that would be something.

The rules changing doesn't make it easier to win SB's, everyone is playing with the same rules.

I don't think there is a GOAT QB, but there is a small group that the GOAT must come from:

    Montana
    Starr
    Graham
    Brady
    Staubach
    Baugh

close but not cigar (at least one key issue holding them back):

    Marino
    Young
    Unitas
    Favre
    Manning

Rodgers, Brees could be on one of these lists before long.

Hardly any current fan has any information/feelings about Baugh and Graham, and few have much on Starr. Staubach isn't really understood well either, so in practical terms it comes down to Brady chasing Montana (his childhood hero). Another SB for Brady should put him into a near tie with Montana, 2-3 more QB hero seasons averaging like his last 4 full seasons and he's probably #1, another SB on top of that and only Montana die hards and Pats/Brady haters would object to him being #1.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

I remember one of your issues being yelling at teammates or crap like that. Didn't Brady have another outburst on the sidelines this year? I know there's at least more with that. So shouldn't he be off your "bus", or does he get a pass?

I think that Brady is def the best QB ever. People throw out names such as joe montana and peyton manning and how brady isn't better than them. If you look at the WR's that montana and manning have had compared to brady its a no brainer that brady is better.

Montana had jerry rice and he his career high TDS is 31.
Peyton manning has had Marvin harrison, Reggie wayne, dallas clark and had a Edrian james as a RB.

Brady has had moss for one full season and broke the TD record the first and only full season together. As well as going 16-0 and losing in the superbowl by three points. other than that the only good WR would be wes welker.

At the least brady is in the top 2nd or 3rd on the all time rankings for QBS

    SEE?!

Pats fans wonder why I go into these threads. It's because of kids like these!

Joe Montana won 2 Superbowls without Jerry Rice. He also has a higher QB rating in the playoffs than Tom Brady without Jerry Rice.

The 31 TDs was a lot for the time period, so much so, he actually led the league that year. In fact, he also led the league in the 1982 lockout shortened season with 17, meaning he led the league in TDs 2 times...

The record he broke? Yeah, it was Joe Montana to Jerry Rice. And they did it in 12 freakin' games! In an era where it was a lot harder to pass. And that whole 18-1 season where the Pats lost in teh Superbowl. Look up the 1984 Niners, who went 18-1 (first team ever to do so), won the Superbowl, and their only loss was by 3 points.

Do people now get where I"m coming from?!

And you continually ignore the fact that Montana played in a time w/o a cap.

Agreed, I would say he's 3rd behind Joe and P-money.
