Stats explain WHO IS BETTER. Why is that so difficult to understand?

I am a Cubs fan and I love Ramirez, but the decline is coming and he is an incredibly slow starter. Also, good luck with your defense.

So, for the sake of argument (don't even know why I'm doing this):

    C
    Hernandez
    .282/.341/.446, .339 wOBA, 111 wRC+

    Pierzynski
    .287/.323/.405, .314 wOBA, 92 wRC+

    EDGE: REDS

    1B
    Votto
    .309/.416/.531, .403 wOBA, 155 wRC+

    Sanchez
    .266/.342/.427 .342 wOBA, 114 wRC+

    EDGE: REDS

    2B
    Phillips
    .300/.353/.457 .351 wOBA, 119 wRC+

    Infante
    .276/.315/.382 .305 wOBA, 88 wRC+

    EDGE: REDS

    SS
    Rollins
    .268/.338/.399 .329 wOBA, 106 wRC+

    HanRam
    .243/.333/.379 .317 wOBA, 96 wRC+

EDGE: EVEN, I will give Hanley's shortened season some credit and I think he bounces back.

    3B
    Wright
    .254/.345/.427 .342 wOBA, 118 wRC+

    Ramirez
    .306/.351/.510 .373 wOBA, 133 wRC+

EDGE: EVEN, I gave you HanRam's down year, so I'm taking Wright's injury riddled season, too.

In the infield alone, you don't have a CLEAR win, while we have at least 3, and Wright may be 4 over a declining ARamirez, so I'll give you HanRam.

OF is pretty much a wash, Bonifacio had a career year (unlikely to repeat), DeJesus had a down year, Jay and Stubbs are in the same ballpark, and Stanton may get the nod over Bruce, but it isn't as lopsided as Votto or Phillips over their counterparts.

    Phillips-Votto-Wright-Bruce-Rollins is a top 5 2-3-4-5-6 in the mock.
ARam > Wright. Mr Consistent with the Cubs
    HanRam > Rollins
How can you say Boni is unlikely to repeat? He's 25 years old. Boni > DeJesus

I do appreciate you finding the stats for me.

Now if you do the pitchers, I think you'll see where the advantages are.

Do you know what David DeJesus career has looked like? How about Bonifacio? He's the guy that before this year had 3 seasons and a combined 0.5 WAR, but you're right, he's so consistent. And oh, ARam better than Wright? The guy who made All Star games in front of him?

How about you try using stats? That would be fun, because <> don't mean ****, and apparently the voters agree with me.

    Says who?

We both did a **** load of work in this to put together one of the better teams in this mock while all you did was sign Japanese guys that you had to rely on because you couldn't get anyone else worthwhile on your team.

Stop trying to troll, your team sucks. You have 0 votes. You got 0 votes for your division. The only thing even close to a vote was when you decided that your handicapable reading would allow you to vote for yourself.

You're a fool, you said all you're doing is spitting out stats. The stats tell the truth. And my co and I destroyed your team as a pair over the last 2 months. So why don't you go back to your > < ways, and tell us who's the better team for the next day or so, while Fuku and I prepare our writeups for future matchups, because we're the ones moving on while you try to figure out what went wrong big guy.

FWIW, TO and I alternated here, TO did ALL of the defending in the Division thread, so i felt it was my turn to try and earn my keep. Everything has been 50/50, so to say either one of us is better than the other is asinine.
