    Redraft Rules/FAQ

The Re-Draft is a game where every player from the start of the 2012 season in College Football (Meaning every player that is currently on a roster at any level of NCAA football, AND the players that are eligible for this year’s NFL draft will be eligible to be drafted) is put into a "player pool." Teams are then put into a draft order that is completely random. Teams will go in a "snake style" draft picking players one at a time. This means that the team with the first pick in the first round (#1), will get the last pick in the second round (#16). The draft board will be constantly updated to reflect trades and the latest picks made.

    Time limit for picks:
    Round 1-10: 6 hours
    Round 11-20: 4 hours

Your time starts immediately after the pick before your turn is made. If no pick is made in your allotted time, you will be skipped, and the following team will then be put on the clock. (You may make your selection upon returning).

Since this is a College Redraft, there will obviously be no salaries or salary cap involved.

You are allowed to make as many trades as you want, but they must be equal in numbers, meaning that trades must be: 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3, etc.

Every trade must be sent from both sides to ElFuturoDeESPN or homestarunner93. They will either be approved by us or a Trade Committee.

Every team is required to create a team clubhouse that should be updated throughout the draft.

The Roster for the Re-Draft Will be:

    1 QB
    2-3 RB
    2-3 WR
    1-2 TE

    Offensive line:
The offensive lines will be drafted as a whole.

    Ex: Bowling Green Offensive Line

Similar to drafting a defense/special teams in fantasy football.

    Defensive Line:
    3-5 Defensive Linemen

    Linebackers:
    2-4 Linebackers

    Secondary:
    3-6 DBs

    Special teams:
    1 K
    1 P
1 KR/PR (can be an offensive or defensive player as well)

*Even though you have many options on the offensive side of the ball please remember that this draft will only be 20 rounds and all positions must be filled.
*We will have an optional “free agency” period after the draft during which all teams can pick up 2 additional players. If you wish to add more than 2 players, you can drop a drafted player and pick up a new one.
*We will be lenient with schemes. We don’t want to limit you too much since college teams run a variety of schemes. We will not, however, allow 5 WR offenses because it is nearly impossible to match up on defense in this type of game.

    Time Rules:
*There are no excuses for missing your pick. You know the time limits. If your pick is close to coming up, send a list to the commissioners or another GM that you trust. This is much better than being skipped.
*Teams get 30 minutes to pick if a GM from the team is online when the pick comes up. If a GM has signed off within three picks of being up, they will also only have 30 minutes to pick before being skipped.
*The clock will run from 8 AM to 12 AM daily.

    A. Just to be clear, I could draft someone from DIII, DII, FCS, NAIA...
    B. Do I have to be a FBS team? being the USD Coyotes would be sick lol

    A. The NAIA is not part of the NCAA, it is a different governing body. Yes to the rest of them, though.
    B. No, you can be whatever team you want. I don't care what level they are.

What are the rules on drafting basketball players? Specifically basketball players who aren't even in college yet.

Great question dude, that's something we failed to cover, I think. I'll chat with Homestar and see what he thinks.

No incoming freshman would be correct. RS and transfer would be OK to draft.

Might be nit picky, but I am doing my best to be this redrafts homestar when it comes to that

Some D's have a "special" position, like SDSU, WVU, TAMU, etc. so when it translates over do we essentially get to decide what their position is?

Like Von Miller was a "joker" and played as a lineman and backer, so could I have him as either?

Also will there be conferences or simply all teams in one pool and top 986 make a playoff.

Finally since it is crazy college **** and stuff like that, when we make our depth charts can a player only be at one positition (obv only start at one) or can my #1 WR also be my #3 RB and so on and so forth?

To answer your questions in order..

    1. I'll have to talk this over more with Homestar, but I believe what you do with your players is your own decision to make. As long as you have 11 players starting on offense and 11 players starting on defense how you line them up is up to you.

    2. There will be an East/West conference. Typical playoff voting rules apply, but starting round six or seven we will start a weekly "BCS-like voting system" where GM's can submit their votes for the top teams in the game. It's kind of a way for GM's to see where they stand as the draft moves along.

    3. I feel your last question falls in line with #1. What you do with your players is up to you, bud.

Also if someone picks WVU does clemson automatically lose to them?
