Spong, merely because I have little faith in Drysdale. His positional based BJJ certainly won't endear him to fans. I think Holly H. & Henry Cejudo are much more exciting prospects.

I put these two up, because I just watched Robert Drysdale fight against DJ Linderman recently, and Tyrone Spong just pulled out of his fight at WSOF3.

I think Spong has the better potential for an MMA career, but Robert is taking it more seriously. Drysdale has an impressive record, and his opponents continue to get better and better. He beat DJ Linderman pretty fast, faster than the likes of Anthony Johnson.

I see Spong as the type of guy that quits after he loses. I could really see that happening. I think Drysdale is more committed. Honestly, he's probably a win away from the UFC.

I think Spong could be really good though. Great even.

Henry Cejudo was one of the top wrestlers, correct? FLY or BW. 1-0 right now. I think he had a second round TKO via body shots. Heard he's got a real tempure or something like that though.

Holly H has yet to fight, right? 2004 gold medalist?

I still don't believe Drysdale is overly into MMA. Perhaps that's just me. I've always thought Drysdale was flaky.

Cejudo is a 125 lb Olympic wrestler with a boxing background. He's 26 years old and has boxing in his past. He's super athletic. He's also flaky, so lord only knows. He oozes potential in a way few prospects do IMHO.

Holly Holm, welp, not sure what to say. One of the greatest women's boxers of all time. Also a VERY in depth kick boxing back ground. In a sport where there's few girls with legit standup, (Calderwood, Kaufman, etc), it's hard not to be excited about someone with a pedigree like hers coming into the sport.

So I was completely off on Holly Holm. .. I know who you're talking about now. I read an article on her on MMAJunkie a couple weeks ago.

I was right about Henry though, right? I caught a bit of his first fight.

EDIT: I just checked. He's now 3-0. He's fought three times in a month and a half period. He's got three stoppages... all by strikes.

I went with Spong. His striking is as good as it gets, if he can develop some TDD, who knows.

I also think Cejudo is the more interesting prospect. With his wrestling credentials and his background in boxing, I'll be shocked ff he doesn't end up with the UFC.

He's smart fighting at 135, if he had gone the 125 route, then the UFC is the only game in town, but at 135, he has more leverage.
