On that note, Jacobs with 2 more hits and Almazar with 3 again. This trios headed to Portland together next year.

I think that's purely conjecture. Were Theo still in control I would buy it because the farm system under him promoted players roughly every six weeks. Cherrington has broken form that pattern. Only an handful of "merit" promotions have been made and there's no apparent coordination to it. Shaw (and others) staying put is simply a reflection of a different approach IMO.

Almanzar has reached base safely in 13 consecutive plate appearances. 2-2 with two walks, 3-3 with two doubles and a HR, then 4-4 with a BB. As long as he's been kicking around the system I cannot believe he's only 21.

But I still hate him, mostly for consistency's sake.

Mellen tweeted that he's not high on Almanzar. Might be a good time to trade him though.

Results are one thing, he might have sexy numbers but the scouting reports on him haven't been too positive. This is why his value hasn't increased during his "hot stretch".

Im saying his value probably isnt going to get any higher than it is now, not that its really high or anything.

His value is the same as it was before, better off keeping him and hoping his attitude problems are a thing of the past and that his talent is finally translating onto the field. He's still relatively young.

Bogaerts with a 3-run bomb, his 14th of the year.

Almanzar continues his perfect streak, 2-2 so far today.

Let's trade Bogaerts for a middle reliever

Salem has a real big park, but Bogaerts is still proving to have great power especially for a 19 yr old.
