Looks like Barnes has been running out of gas fairly quick. But that's not unusual, is it?

It isn't unusual with college pitchers.

Barnes close to innings limit anyway. Usually they let 110 innings in their first proball year.

We signed Dominican SS Wendell Rijo for 625K. He was ranked 10th best international prospect by BA. Here is some footage provided by the DPL.

    Scouting report on mlb.com:

The son of a Major League scout, the infielder knows the game and has been praised for his outstanding makeup. Considered undersized by some, Rijo does not blow scouts away with his physical tools and is far from a “tryout baby,” but he excels in game situations in large part because of his natural instincts and knowledge.
A star in the Dominican Prospect League, Rijo has plus range, a quick release at shortstop and an average arm. He’s also recognized as a team leader.

Rijo was named to the league’s All-Star travel squad and was slated to play in exhibition games and participate in showcases at big league sites in Arizona and Florida during Spring Training, but his trip was cut short when he sprained his knee in a game at the Red Sox's complex in Florida. Earlier in the year, he represented his country in the MLB prospect showcase in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.

    Bobby V is all in!

Bradley collected 3 hits tonight, 2-2B, hitting .384 w/ Sea Dogs.

Also anyone not paying attention to Garin Cecchini? He's very underrated. Good hitter and a burner on the base path.

I like Cecchini a lot, but i dont think he has the power to stay at third, not to mention WMB is there. I dont really see where we could move him either besides the outfield.

But these things have a way of working themselves out. Theres very little chance that all of our T1 prospects pan out.

Anyone think its time to call up Lavarnway? Salty is back to hitting .240 (less actually), and it wouldnt be hard to trade Shoppach, who is a solid backup catcher.

He's in Greenville, and WMB is far from a sure thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn into a .250/.280/.450 type.

Is the futures game being televised today, or are they being *****es and televising it during the break?

I think he should have been called up last year. He a dominant hitter, and has improved his catching. Plus, he'll be 25 in August.

Great. I would have been so pissed if they put it at some random hour during the ASB. Xander is hitting 5th, but DH'ing .

JBJ is awesome. I really hope ellsbury does well to finish the season and then Trade him.

Still wish we had Reddick, I think I am gonna follow him for the rest of his career. I started buying into him when I saw him play live at Camden and he hit a HR and almost 2 others. The ball just comes of his bat so well.

WMB has already taken over 3B, I think Lavarnway will be next with DH (Ortiz is just costing too much money and I don't think we can just keep getting lucky with his production when he is getting closer to 40.

Tazawa and Wilson look like nice bullpen pieces.

I don't want to be buyers at the deadline, unless its a buy for the future type thing. I wouldn't mind trading for anibal Felix Hernandez.

This is a little off topic I know, but I would honestly trade buchholz, Doubront, Bogaerts, Iglesias, and Britton for Hernandez if that can get it done.

    Trade Ellsbury for some specs.

Sign Anibal Sanchez in the offseason

    Hernandez
    Lester
    Beckett
    Sanchez
    Lackey

I could accept that as a rotation
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all
