I wouldn't mind drafting Gavin Cecchini. I looked up the Starwalt kid and yea he wouldn't be a bad pick either. He'd probably be a 2nd or 3rd.

Another guy I'd really like to nab is Nick Williams. He has so amazing potential. Athletically he has all the tools. Now I understand they are raw tools. However but his ceiling is that of a Griffey, Bonds(before roids), or Hunter.

True, the only spot to move him to is the OF though.

Cecchini will be drafted before we get to pick most likely.

Cecchini has one of the highest ceilings in our system, definitely not a guy I would be OK trading away.

Also, don't think Cecchini's brother Gavin makes it to us he'll definitely get drafted this years class is weak.

it depends man i mean you can't keep everyone and with middlebrooks and bogaerts he is the odd man out

I don't find him to be untouchable, just as long as it isn't a stupid deal

+1. He also played both MIF spots so I'd be open to moving him back even if he seemed to be too "big bodied" for it. Tough to walk away from a talent like that.

Ranaudo with another rough outing in Portland - walks killed him.

    4.2 IP, 3H, 5R, 5ER, 5BB, 4K's.

Since a shaky, late debut Workman has been pretty good. Three 6IP starts with 2ER or less. Overall, 30.2IP, 26H, 12ER, 5BB, 35K, 1.52 GO/AO, 3.52ERA. 6K or more in 4 straight starts.

Xander has the GWRBI. Down 2-0 in the 7th, JBJ singles then takes 2B on a WP. Coyle drives him in with a single and Travis Shaw (.348/.423/.511) walks. The pair double-steal then score on a single by Xander who takes second on the throw. The throw home is misplayed and Xander takes third and then gets caught in a run down between 3B and home.

OF prospects we have are looking very good.

    Bentz, .294/.333/.444 4HR's
    Bradley .373/.491/.575 3HR's
    Jacobs .307/.351/.416 1HR's

Hard not to be excited about all 3 of these guys. Bentz needs a AAA promotion right now. He could be starting next year if handles well.

Totally disagree. It would be great if Brentz could play next year in Boston, but it just wont be possible until september. He was hitting about .220 until a couple weeks ago, way too soon to be promoted. If he was hitting above .315 with 8-10 HRs i would say go for it, but he definitely isnt ready for AAA IMO.

I'm not much of a fan of Brentz. His "breakout" 2011 was really the byproduct of one hot streak and this year is shaping up to be pretty much the same (.429/.467/.595 in his last 10 games). Streaky players don't tend to be great long term.

Oh, yeah, and he could learn to take a walk before getting bumped up. 8BB, 47K, 153AB? No, not at all ready for AAA.
