iglesias isn't even better than punto..... people really need to accept that he isn't that good, or good at all to be honest

I get a kick out of some people who think that it'd be OK to go with a gold glove level SS with a weak bat, while other people would probably be tearing their hair out with a SS fighting to stay above the Mendoza line.

Be patient. Three years ago you would have said the same thing about WMB.

Vitek is our worst draft pick since Jason Place.

I never liked that pick. In all honesty I wanted Brentz in that spot. When we didn't get him there I was like damn it!! As we all know though we ended up with Brentz anyways. I really liked Brentz, Ranaudo, and Zach Lee.

Vitek really is a wasted pick when you look at all the talent available at that spot, can't fault them though. They've done great jobs these last few drafts, they've earned the right to a couple of "misses".

For all the love Aviles is getting, his slash isn't really that more impressive than Iglesias' with the SLG% being the only significant difference between the two, but that is something that we all knew already.

    Aviles .261/.295/.435, .729 OPS
    Iglesias .248/.312/.280, .592 OPS

Iglesias' numbers are deceiving though, he started off awful and has really come around lately.

punto better than iglesias? That's laughable. They both can't hit, but iglesias' glove ***** on that fat midgets glove
Perfect combos, Ghost bang out condos
Jeff from Hamo, ex three bangos
Bancos, stank hoes in plain clothes
Change those, bang those, same old, same old

NE Sports Fan how is Iglesias at all close to Aviles? Aviles has been good in the field and at bat.

Look at the stats. I'd start Iglesias over Aviles right now. Iglesias has a godly glove, and isn't a huge downgrade with the bat.

Aviles's OPS is .200 better AND he's going against MLB pitching. How is that not a major downgrade?

Never liked the pick and I've been stunned by the defenders that he has had (and continues to have).
