I'd say it's not something to be too mad about obviously, but it's a pretty low ranking for him. I've seen him mostly in the top 25 in recent top 50/100 lists.

He's 19 years old, plays SS, and is hitting .294/.368/.493 in high A ball. That's pretty damn impressive and he deserves to be ranked higher.

    Bradley jr 2-4 HR

Power coming together? it's tough to hit HR at Fenway for lefties. But the dimensions are good for 2B.

I think this team deals Ellsbury for a return and Bradley will play CF mid 2013 at Fenway.

Carpenter might turn out a solid 6-7 inning guy for us.

Is there a reason why Cecchini has not played since last Friday?

Baseball America's Minor League Tools survey has Lavarnway as the best defensive catcher in the International League and Jackie Bradley Jr. as just about everything in the Carolina League.

    DOUBLE-A PORTLAND (EASTERN LEAGUE)

    Best outfield arm: Bryce Brentz

    HIGH-A SALEM (CAROLINA LEAGUE)

Best hitting prospect: Jackie Bradley Jr.
    Best strike-zone judgment: Bradley
    Best baserunner: Bradley
    Best reliever: Michael Olmsted
    Best defensive catcher: Christian Vazquez
Best defensive first baseman: Travis Shaw

Wow, either catching talent in the IL is really sparse, or Lavarnway has done an excellent job of improving his catching skills!!!

BTW, I'm impressed by those 6 separate awards that JBJr won.

I have a true question as to wonder why more teams don't do this?

The Orioles have just called up their top prospect, Machado.

Why don't we call up a guy like Bogaerts or JBJ just to give them some at bats at the Major League level to go into next season with. Even if just off the bench for the last month of the season, I don't think it can really hurt.
