yeah am with you..brewster is going to be available for us in the 5th maybe even 6th....i would not draft an OL in the 3rd unless the right guy fell for us, like jonathan martin or zebrie sanders.... crazy things happen all the time...

i totally agree, with our 3rd rounder, we should get the best player available at one of the deepest positions in the draft....that happens to be CB+WR...OG is deep too, but we can get a starter this year in the 4th or 5th..

it will be interesting to see how the draft plays out though... there is a LOT of depth at WR, OG, DL, CB, and DE.... which position will see more drafted in the 1st 3 rounds.... because the 4th is our time to shine with 2 picks

Donald Stephenson OT Oklahoma said he thinks he would fit well with the redskins

Jaymes Brooks G/C Va Tech said his Versatility and solid person would make him good fit for redskins or any team

Also Mitchell Schwarts has been said to view himself as a complete player

Since his 4.94 40 at the Combine, Stephenson has been flying up the boards...as of now seems like a 3rd round projection, Id love for him to fall to us in the 4th though...

I'm really excited for our defense this year I think they will be way better than last season. We our returning all of our front 7. They played great last year Kerrigan transitioned well to OLB and coefield/ Bowen both fit the system very well. Add Jarvis Jenkins to the mix, and we might have a Top5 front 7 in the NFL. our weakest part of the defense isthe secondary and we have a great secondary coach in Raheem Morris that may be able to hide our weakness. I think griffin can stay at corner now and play the nickel corner and Jackson/Merriweather will take over at safties. How good our defense is will come down to how the Safties can play together. Best of all, this might be the end of Reed Doughtys stay in Washington

I would love if we could trade Santana Moss and our 5th to Miami for one of their 3rd rounders. Mitchell Schwartz OL Casey Hayward CB would be SWEET!!! Philip Blake Center
out of Baylor in the 4th round along with Mychal Kendricks ILB would put US back in the Playoffs

My updated Redskins 2012 Mock Draft....

    1st- QB Robert Griffin III
    3rd- T Donald Stephenson
4th- G Tony Bergstrom (3rd-4th round guy, hoping he makes it to the early 4th)
4th- CB Leonard Johnson (if he's gone, CB Ryan Steed)
    5th- RB Michael Smith
6th- OLB Codarro Law (very athletic...steal potential, gives us OLB depth which doesnt hurt)
7th- WR Chris Owusu (i know he had the concussions but has been cleared...4.36 speed, 40.5 inch vertical in the 7th is worth the risk).

Look at (no particular order) C, ILB, S, DT, TE in the 2013 Draft....

what is really exciting is the fact that we will have a RG3 and basically a WHOLE new offense....more different than we have seen in over a decade in washington....

RG3, complementary RBs in helu and royster (and maybe a big back), the ZBS, and a brand new WR core.......

I still say take a shot on Chase Ford in the 6th or 7th. His size and athleticism makes him too enticing to completely overlook. I think there are some great players who may go undrafted, but will contribute to teams this season.

    My Mock v 1.1
    51st (Second Round) - Amerson CB/FS
85th (third round) - Bacarri Rambo FS
    119th (fourth) - David Quessenberry, OT/OG
    154th (fifth) - Cornelius Washington, DE/ OLB
162nd (fifth) - Ray Ray Armstrong, SS
191st (sixth) - Nick Kasa, TE
228th (seventh) - Rodney Smith, WR

Also has anyone heard of Lamont Bryant, TE from Morgan State?

I don't think he has the size or strength to be a TE, but I think he could be a scary WR. He is 6'5" 225 and he ran a 4.39 40 at his pro day last month. He might go undrafted and I think he would definitely be a interesting prospect.
