The Toronto Blue Jays were thrilled to get the 95,000,000 payroll. And we have made some great deals bringing in players such as Evan Longoria, David Price, BJ Upton, Paul Konerko, Carlos Quentin, John Danks and Sergio Santos.
The best part is we still have a lot of work left to be the team we want to be. We are currently in negotiations with SS Jose Reyes, and have been very busy with trade talk. We have taken the money you given us and taken it a long way, and know with whatever else your willing to give us, we will make it work. We feel that every dollar counts, and by adding a few key FA's our team will be a force to be reckoned with.
We are not asking for 220 million like the Yankees or all the other high prices teams.
However, we would ask the bank for 115 million payroll, so we can add a top FA, maybe two, and then some stars through trades.
We seen what happened the first time payroll was added, and we have no doubt some more magic will be coming North of the border again!
