Newsflash: It's still NBA talent and for a 21 year old who has never stepped foot on an NBA court did pretty well. He held his own.

Newsflash: Haha lol...It's so entertaining to watch the drama series in LA. This year's version of "The Lake Show" is based on tragedy.

Newsflash... the European league is easily 5x tougher competition than college basketball. And, if Nikola Mirotic was playing the way he is now in college, you'd be *****ing at GarPax for not making a move up in the draft to pick him. Guess what though... he's playing in tougher competition. And the real newsflash is this: the Bulls drafted him by trading up for him (two picks, #28 and #30) and selecting him at pick #23 I believe.

I think that even though he does havea contract with Real madrid, it would not cost much for us to buy out his contract and bring him over. I think if we decide to get rid of boozer sooner, we could very well bring him over sooner as well.

bulls can only pay a certain amount of money for his buyout though... not enough to cover what he still owes. It's really up to Mirotic at this point though (after this season) - either a) pay off the remaining buyout immediately and come overseas for a smaller contract
    b) play one more year and break up the buyout payments, potentially come over to the Bulls and get a MLE type deal instead

13 points and 5 boards in 29 minutes. RM is now 14-0 in ACB league play. He is on a loaded team and probably won't average more than 13 PPG and 5-6 RPG this year. I think after the season in 2014 he should be ready to come over.

Yes it seems like it but the buyout for Mirotic doesn't seem feasible until after the 2014 ACB season. He should only have 2 years left so it should be about 1-1.5 million. I could be wrong. By then the Boozer "Do we amnesty him or not" question should also have been answered. I think the Kevin Love question will also be put to bed by then.

Great new article about Mirotic's rise through the Real Madrid system now up on the ACB website. It is broken into 4 chapters (It is written in Spanish) and I am translating one chapter at a time. Hope to have Chapter I up in a couple of hours.

Nice article indeed ... He made a game has a youngster (17yo) where he shoot 9/9 from 2pt, 1/1 from 3pt, 14/14 ft, 23 rebounds, 2 assists and 9 steals.

Nikola Mirotic vs Brose Baskets 1/3/13 (Top 16)

    19 Pts 8 Rebs 7/10 FG 0/1 3FG 5/5 FT in 22 Minutes

-As I was watching the game, I felt like he could have gotten the ball more offensively. This was the game I believed he could have scored 30 points had he played more and got more touches.
-He was getting pushed around at times, but when this guy gets stronger, watch out.
-Very intelligent player who plays team ball. Has the quickness to stay in front of his man. Not afraid of contact and will play physical
