It's nice of the Indians to make their rotation worse.

Indians really like their uneffective sinkerballers, heh?

I'm sure they're not paying for the entire contract, also, if they didn't give up anything too good, it's undoubtedly a good move, buy low after a bad season.

@Buster_ESPN: Atlanta is absorbing all but $5 million of the money owed to Derek Lowe in this; second-line player return going to ATL
    Good deal for Cleveland

If the Braves are paying the entire salary it's a good move IMO. Gives them a veteran to go in as a number 3 guy behind Ubaldo and Masterson.

I actually like this move - especially since I'm sure it was more or less "free".

    Braves are picking up 10mm?

    Not a terrible move then...

They have the makings of a nice rotation ^^ don't forget Carmona who still is showing flashes of returning to his old self

Yup. I watched a lot of Braves games last season and Lowe can still make an impact on games. I think he'll be fine in Cleveland. They got him for not much, so that's good.

Have you ever seen Carmona pitch? He's terrible.

They have 4 big time GB pitchers. You'd think the next step would be IF defense.

This Coming from a Detroit fan. Your pitching isn't much better.

I love how quickly opinions changed in this thread haha. But yeah, it's a decent trade for Cleveland. They have four potentially very good GB pitchers and... Josh Tomlin.
