11/1/2011 The State of Hockey in Hockey Town

I dont usually do this but there was no thread up yet and I just wanted to say Harding is starting again. Good news I like it. I hope its not just because its the Red Wings lol

thanks for making the thread...continue doing so if one isnt up, and you catch it.

Red Wings came out on fire...and so did Harding, unfortunately, he just couldnt keep up with the pace the Red Wings were putting on.

Didnt mean to steal your lightning (is that the English version of the saying? haha) but I will if I dont see one...

Does Zid. do anything on this team but eat up I believe 4m worth of space? He barely plays the PP anymore and when he does he is just sitting at the point.

There is absolutely no way in my mind Josh Harding is not our starter from here on out....at least that is how I feel after last game and at the moment through this game.

yeah, Harding is either our goalie, or our greatest trade bait...same exact thing can be said for Backstrom...I can't believe how inadequate this team is at putting the net in the goal...we couldnt even get a goal 5 on 3...the talent is there for sure with two bona fide goal scorers in Heatley and Seto...and then there are even guys like Koivu and Latendresse who arent able to find the net...how do the Wild solve this problem? keep shooting and hope probability eventually takes place and we get some goals?

OOOOOOOOO MMMMMMMMMMM GGGGGGGGG are you kidding me? I love this team, and their resilience, but they have to learn how to score.

think of the 4 points the Wild should not have right now...Heatley with the goal a couple games ago where he scored with 1.2 seconds left, then we won in OT...then tonight.

I like the 3 games we had in such a short period of time...its a good way to set up a rivalry...I expected some fighting tonight, but it didnt happen. These teams dont seem to like each other much, as usually happens when you play a team so many times in such a short period.

Im still a Detroit fan first, so im pissed about this game on one side. On the other side way to go Wild. Although I blame the goal on Jimmy, if he doesnt hold Seto there Seto skates to the corner and tries to get the puck from behind Kronwall, instead Jimmy holds him and he is right in front for the rebound.

Detroit isnt a fighting team at all, they only will to protect their top players. So if its a clean rough game dont expect Detroit to drop the gloves. If this becomes a rivalry itll be one will tough grit and skill not really many fights

detroit really doesnt have any fighters on their team and even if that goal was jimmys fault he kept them in it during that 5 on 3
