He's a top level linebacker? Very active in the pass game? Way to raise Lofton's price Mike Smith. The man is a liability in the pass game. He gets lost in coverage and he can't cover none of these receiving TEs. We have Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen, and Kellen Winslow in our division. Lofton can't cover those guys. Not many people can but Lofton has no chance. He is not a 3 down backer IMO.

^Fractured a bone in his leg at the Senior Bowl, likely won't do anything until April.

Casey Heyward is the one who stands out from that list for me, as far as cornerbacks. Vandy had some true ballhawks in their secondary this past season and he was the best of the group. Could see him contributing from Day 1.

#Vanderbilt S Sean Richardson lit up the Combine. Official 4.52 40 at 6'3/216. 2nd in vertical among DBs (38.5"). 3rd in broad jump (10'8").
^As I was saying about that Vandy secondary.
In addition to running fastest 40 of any Combine invitee (4.33), #UCF CB Josh Robinson led all DBs in broad jump (11'1") & tied for 2nd in vert.

#Titans likely to lose Jason Jones because they're valuing scheme over player. One of NFL's best young D-Linemen.
    rotoworld
    Jason Jones, DT

With Jones you almost have to completely discard his 2011 year where the Titans used him at defensive end. You go back to when he was used at DT and you’ve got a guy too quick for guards, making plays on every down. Put Jones back in the right scheme, and at the right spot, and you have one of the most explosive tackles in the league.
    PFF

    Underrated, IMO.

ehhh depends on what kind of defensive scheme we are running as to whether I think we should get him or not. If we are still primarily running a 4-3 then yes i say go for him, if we move to the 3-4 then I say dont get him because we need bigger bulkier players.

Base defense will be a 4-3 (with some 3-4), and Babineaux has been declining over the past few seasons.

Jones is an excellent addition in a pure 4-3. If we sign him then we can not switch to a 3-4 unless we cut him. I love Jones and would be all for bringing him in because he gets mad penetration and pressure but the way I feel is we will be slowly transition with Nolan makes him off of the radar.

Well Grimes has been franchised. I hope we trade him or something. Might not be a good fit anymore.

I'd love to get something for him, but I like the staff being proactive. We have one of the best corners in the NFL and one of the best free agents. Makes sense to tag him and see what happens rather than let him walk. At "worst" he ends up being our #1 corner.
