and im not giving the eagles the nod for regualr season wins, im giving them the nod for constiancy. in the last ten years the giants won a superbowl, but the also had a season bad enough to earna top 5 draft pick. 2007 was a great seaosn for them, but they;'ve had a number of down seasons as well. the eagles have not

o yea, not made the playoffs the last 2 years. the whole lately concept seems to only include time spans that help your cause. neithe rthe ravens of giants have done anyhting lately, but the ravens have down better making the playoffs 3 staraight years and winning road game in each appaernace. giants haven't wona playoff game since the superbowl

o and, you brought up 11 years as recent memeory. we arne't using that anymore ebcause it hurts your arguement?

He's not saying that for Christ's sake. You labeled the Eagles and Giants as the class of the NFC East, but really it's been the Eagles who have consistently won that division over the last decade and made the playoffs, they have won the division 6 times out of the last 11, with the Giants winning 3 and the Cowboys winning 2, so they have been "the class of the division". Sure, the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2007, but it doesn't make them the "class" of the division, the Eagles have been more consistent than the Giants, that's it

i'd rather have a ring. a ring doens't even mean you were the best tema though. you could have gotten hot at the right time.

but when comparing how good teams have been over a decade, one superbowl win doesn't make you better than a perenial division winner and NFC championship game participant pver that span. at best it makes you etter than that team the year you won

ESPN doesn't overrate the Cowboys. The Cowboys look good on paper every year and also fall short of expectations every year, which makes people say they're overrated when really the analysts were just projecting them based on who they have on the team.

Also, the Giants blew a 5-0 start a few years back and didn't make the playoffs, right? And last year they were in a good position to make the playoffs but then lost to the Eagles while blowing that 21 point lead in the 4th quarter and got stomped by the Packers, what have you done for me lately??

No one is disputing 2007, but over the last decade Philly has been more consistent, that's it, but you're a blind homer and take offense to that fact.
