Armstrong Injured Again

I like the guy as much as anyone but this is becoming a regular thing now. 50 games played last year with a list of injuries and we make fun of Connolly . When does this become a problem and why should he get a pass

Anyone know what the actual injury is? All I've heard is 'lower body injury'.

It didn't look like much but the guy stuck his leg out and Army went over it and kind of into the boards. Hopefully its minor.

hes a good 3rd line player...but with the style he plays (being on the edge)..hes going to risk being injured

First of all we make fun of Connolly because if you put his injury resume up against Armstrong's then it's "Connolly by a mile!"

Armstrong's reminding me of Wendle Clark, Darcy Tucker ect. He beats his body up so much and over his career, that now t's starting to give out a little early. Same as Tucker and Wendle. He's certainly not at the "useless" point like Tucker eventually got to. But his style of play is starting to hinder his body. Happens to the majority of players that play like him.

Army played 70+ games the four years before coming here. Wouldn't exactly label him as injury prone.

Last yr he played 50
This yr just started and already he's hurt

And? 4 out of his last 5 seasons he's been healthy. Who says he doesn't play 70 again this season?

Atleast Armstrong plays a physical game, not really sure how Connolly consistently gets hurt the way he plays.

Agree with everyone in this thread. Wouldnt call him injury prone yet...if this becomes something of a constant, then yes.

Its his style of play that wears him down, Connolly plays soft and he still gets hurt.
