Luis Jimenez is on absolute fire, since the beginning of July

    Avg .347 HR 5 2B 13 OBP .378 SLG .579 SB 6 CS 3 (G 30 AB 121)

over the first 3 months of the season

    Avg .297 HR 7 2B 17 OBP .327 SLG .466 SB 8 CS 1 (G 64 AB 249)

Callaspo has been absolutely horrible over that same time period

    Avg .223 HR 3 2B 4 OBP .306 SLG .362 SB 0 CS 3 (G 27 AB 94)

Over the next couple of weeks if both of these guys continue at their current pace the Angels need to call Jimenez up to the big leagues.

I'm going to the 66'ers game today. Should I look out for anyone in particular? Besides Cron.

Well 3B Cowart most definitely. OF Grichuk, 2B Lindsey, and Cron like you mentioned.

Daniel Tillman and Ty Kelley out of the pen

    Will do!

Cowart smashed a line drive double. Smooth swing. Cron grounded out though which ended the inning.

Kelley pitched out of a bases loaded jam. Looks good. Recorded his whole outing.

I have always liked Grichuk, just not nearly as much as you do. He has an average bat, average speed, below average plate discipline, and above average power. He isnt my favorite prospect but he is still someone to keep an eye on because if he can improve his plate discipline he quickly becomes a top 5 prospect.

I like Lindsey far a lot less than I like Grichuk because he is basically average to below average across the board (including defense). But I still have him as a guy to watch.

    Thanks
i think he can have an above avg to good bat, it just comes with learning pitch recognition, he also has short quick swing, and i like his speed, 6 triples, and 15 sb on 17 attempts

Grichuk can be above average in everyone of the aspects, the question is will he? No one really knows.

I could see someone rating his speed as slightly above average right now, but as he gets older its not likely to be above average. Stolen bases (especially in the lower minors) dont really show how much speed you have. Pujols has stolen 16 bases in a season before while only being caught twice, Bourjos last season stole only 22 bases while being caught 9 times. In a race Bourjos would make Pujols look like one of the Molina brothers.

Brandon Brewer was drafted in the 36th round of the 2011 draft out of the University of West Florida. His horrible numbers are not much of a surprise for a guy that was drafted in the 36th round.

    His career line

    Avg .223 HR 0 2B 10 OBP .308 SLG .264 (G 70 AB 220)

A good walk rate is about the only thing he has shown. Today was the 6th time he has been used on the mound this season, all six of those appearances have come in blow out games to not tax the bullpen. His numbers on the mound have been fairly impressive (There went sample size right out the window)

    IP 9 H 8 ERA 3.00 K 11 BB 5

Those are solid numbers for a guy who probably hasnt focused on pitching in at least 2 years (probably more). If I were him I would ask the Angels about making a switch to the mound. As it stands right now he likely doesnt have a chance of reaching the big leagues as an offensive player. He probably doesnt have much of a chance of reaching the big leagues as a pitcher either but if he were to make the switch those chances likely improve a little bit. If you are still ready BigGuy did you happen to see what he was hitting on the radar gun?
