    Nationals fans revolt

Today is one of the most incredible, and strange in sports history. Today, Alex Atkins, the best player to ever to hold a bat or put on a glove was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for several players to be named later, a second round draft pick, and CF Georgy Myzin. Now, in comparison, Myzin is a pretty good player... But there's one problem. Alex Atkins was the best ever. Myzin has a pretty nice 288-364-438 line... Alex Atkins has a 381-467-660 line...

Today, news is that Washington National fans were literally so stunned by the news, that a mob has formed outside of Nationals Park and demand the trade be nullified. These were some ticked off fans. Picket signs, chanting, and threats have been made, and the police department is doing whatever it can to get the fans settled down. But the strange things is that Nationals' GM Doug Wills is known for being a top GM in the league, so making a trade that involves Alex Atkins should have an even bigger value of return than what the Red Sox got for Daniel Faraday, so, and for occasions like this, the only way to get a fair stand point on this is to go straight to the horse's mouth, but the horse refused to comment, and in fact, laughed when he heard the fans were upset. He also laughed when we asked him why he thought the trade was necessary and when we would know who the "nine players to be named later" were... We failed to recognize the humor of the questions. The thing is that most people feel that nothing was good enough return for the star center fielder. Why did this trade happen? Well, like the whole Tootsie pop conspiracy, the world may never know, or you know, it could very well know at some point, but we aren't here to judge. But one thing is for sure, there are a lot of GMs who would've probably given a lot more to get the best player in the game than what the Blue Jays did.

How much did Atkins meant to this team? Well, many people referred to them as the "Washington Atkins". It was a joke mainly among fellow GMs, several of whom have agreed he should be banned from the league for just being too good. Is he too good? When asked just how good Alex Atkins was, fellow teammate Jesus Rodriguez said "He's very good." Rays GM Azazel had this to say "{Explicit}{Explicit}{Explicit} My life."

Another question that comes up is what it means for Toronto. Well, if there's a world series favor right now, it's gotta be them, and this gives Alex Atkins a chance to win the AL MVP as well as the National league. When we asked the nine time MVP award winning Alex Atkins about the trade, he had this to say: "I got traded." GM Twitchy said "I'm excited." If anything should be apparent, it's that the people we interview do not go for "thorough".

But, another thing to consider here is that Alex Atkins is a free agent at the end of the year. With that come a lot of questions. Does Toronto have the salary cap to re-sign him? If not, where will we go? The only way to ever find out is to keep on watching, and see what happens.
