    Thank you jorge

When they mention your name with Yogi, Elston and Thurman. You done well. Thanks for being a great Yankee. I hope you retire, it got hard to watch last year and I can't see you in anything other then pinstripes.

I would put you up there with any catcher..hitter for that matter..When the Yanks needed a hit, you came up with a big one a lot of the time.

For me it's an end of a great era with only a few players left, from those great teams. I would put that 98' team up against ANY.. team EVER!!

I agree with everything here. He did well in the playoffs but even at that he was a singles hitter. It's time to step down and blow the whistle on a wonderful career. Leaving graciously is a classy thing to do and is almost as important as having a great career because it is the last memory on the field that fans have of a player. Bernie royally f*cked that up so learn from his mistake.

A taxi to central=$5, A subway ticket to the stadium=$10, A ticket to the game=$30, See the Yankees win 27=Priceless. Theres somethings money cant buy, for everything else theres NYY

    Nice thread.
He was the man for a long time. We will miss him. I think HOF for sure. Not just ability but leadership and longevity. I hope he comes back as a manager someday. I think he would be amazing.
lol Can you imagine him as Girardi's bench coach?

Very hard to see a lifelong Yankee go, but it's obviously time to move on at this point in his career. It was a pleasure watching Posada play throughout the years and I wish him well going ahead in the future.

Posada has finally come to terms with his eventual departure:
“I don’t think there’s even a percentage of a chance that I can come back,” Posada said. “… It’s not going to happen.”

Posada said five or six teams have already contacted him this offseason, and he started working out on November 1 — which he’s always done — but at this point he’s trying to decide between retirement and playing for a new team.

“I will always be a Yankee,” he said. “The Yankees for me is my second family. It would be tough to put on another uniform for real and learn another set of rules and all that stuff, but that’s one of those things. I have to see if I want to keep playing… Do I want to do it for somebody else? Do I want to leave home? Do I want to do it all over again without knowing anybody? It would be tough. I’ve got great people, great friends and great teammates and it would be tough to learn new people again.”

Jorge was very good for us. I never really loved him like mo, jeter and Andy but he still did a good job.

I think his attitude this year soured me a bit. He's kind of a dkhd.
