Saw this coming; that franchise has thrown money at players even worse than we have the last few years.

This is true and even to an extent the Red Sox. But we're the Yankees so only we can be "evil".

Ya, my cousin in Philly says everyone there is happy with it. Oh well, at least we aren't the only ones buying championships

Sox most likely gonna make a push for Madison to be closer. Either way the Sox just got weaker today

Wow that's a surprise move. Philly has spent a ton on that pitching staff. Any idea how this impacts their chance at keeping Rollins?

can i take my last post back?

Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Red Sox are not sold on Daniel Bard as their closer and in on the bidding for both Ryan Madson and Heath Bell.
Bard arguably has better stuff than both Madson and Bell, but his struggles down the stretch might have convinced the Red Sox not to entrust him with the ninth inning just yet. Bell wants to stay in San Diego and has said he'd take a hometown discount, but the Red Sox might be able to blow him away with an offer.

Wow, the rats can't jump off that sinking ship quick enough!!
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?
