With Albert and Prince on the market the yanks need to go after at least 1 of them... tex just blows in the playoffs.... Sorry tex u are 1 of the weakest links gotta ho
But how much are you willing to give him to stay if he opts out? I would be willing to bite the bullet and give him a 5 year deal because I think we need him to 1) give ourselves a chance the next few seasons and 2) help bridge the gap to our youung guys until they are ready to really be full timer starters. A 5 year deal would probably hurt us at the end, but I think the short term gain justifies it because we can afford to pay CC 20 mil to be only a #4 innings eater at the end of his deal.
But I expect him to look for a 7 year deal. At that point, I'm not sure the short term value justifies the horrificness of that deal at the end.
I don't think pitching is exactly our issue. We lost due to a lack of clutch hitting. I think the Yankees should invest in a leadoff hitter and maybe move everyone down a spot. Also, I think we could use a speedier option in Right Field. Swisher is great, but the Yankees have so many players that are high on-base, power hitters. I think a guy who can get 20 HRs and can get 30 steals and hit around .280-.300 would be better for the Yankees.
Yet Another invisible post season this year and (right or wrong) Tex should start hearing it from the Stadium faithful next year.

I would hope they could work it out by offering two more years on his current deal, so it ends up being a 6 year deal.
Cliff Lee basically got a 6 year deal (5 years with a vesting option if he pitches 200 the last year or 400 the last two years), and he was a year or two older.
H2R and Johnson were both hurt this year so their value's are down
Gardner is a top 3 left fielder, Soriano is a stud closer and we eat his contract, beteces is a top prospect, plus another prospect and we would send zambrano with cash to the marlins whom they want
Really how far fetched is that?
And yes I would trade Teix for Alphonso Soriano in a heart beat

Conseguir bateadores oportunos.

I just don't see us letting him go. I think our FO would panic if we lost Sabathia. I think if we could re-sign Sabathia(or maybe, just maybe, he doesn't opt out) and also sign Wilson we would be absolutely set.
As for RF, i'd definitely let Swisher walk and go after Beltran if the price is right.
