Kings 2011-2012 Season Thread

I still can't believe it, this all seems so surreal. That was the best sports day in my life as well. I went to a sports bar in San Antonio and there were a couple other groups of Kings fans, which suprised me. Great game!!! We freakin did it!!! 21 years of waiting for me, and it was all worth it!!!

We have everybody signed with the exception of Penner, Stoll, and Frasor and we have $14 million in cap room. We will propably re sign Stoll and there is a pretty good chance they re sign Penner. There is also rumors of them going after another FA like Parise. This all depends on Penner, Stoll, and whether Gagne comes back or retires. Keep in mind, Quick is a FA after next season so we need to save up for that.

If they can sign Parise then might have to choose one from Fraser, Stoll and Penner. I think if they did sign him, Fraser, would be gone and they would try and the choice would come down to Penner or Stoll. That might be tough, I loved the way Penner played the last month or so and playoffs, then again, Stoll wins a lot of face offs, hustle and hits. I'm sure if they knew Penner was a changed man and would play like he did, hands down they would try and sign him. They must lock down Quick before next season starts, he DAMN sure earned it.

Good to hear that Penner will give a hometown discount. Now if Stoll will give us one, we might be able to sign both of them and get Parise. As long as they don't put themselves in a position to not be able to extend Quick's contract.

Anybody see any of the videos from the rally at Staples Center? Quick had a legendary drunken speech, dropped 3 F bombs. He started his speech looking at his team and saying, "I love these ****in guys!"
