    1981 Position Rating Issue Fix

    Please post up to 1 or 2 (yet to be decided) players from your team that you feel the players ought to have a higher Rating than do now. Cut off age is 34

    C = (Arm * 1.25 + Range * .75) / 2

    Range to me has never been as important as arm. But if you guys disagree we can just add them straight up and / 2. Not a huge deal.

    1B = (Error * 1.25 + Arm *.75 + Range + DP ) /4

    Pretty straight forward. 1B arm is never that important, not making errors is. Range is nice but these are 1B so it's not gonna be great.

    2B = (Range * 1.25 + DP * 1.25 + Error * 1.25 + Arm * .25) /4

    Again, pretty straight forward. 2B need to have range, make a clean play, and be successful on a DP. If they had the arm strength they'd be playing SS, which is why it's not important here.

    3B = (Range * 1.25 + Arm * 1.5 + Error + DP * .25)/4

    Keys for 3B are reactions (range) and arm strength. The difference IMO for OOTP between 2B/3B is that 3B have strong arms but lack DP skills, while the opposite is true for a 2B. So in the TKO league, Jareno would be a 76 3B and a 63 2B. Which makes sense, given his skillset favours him at 3B over 2B.

    SS = All skills added / 4

    I tried to come up with something fancier but really all the skills are key here.

    Outfield was a little harder to determine...

    LF = all skills added / 3

    Most LF's are pretty worthless defensively, so I didn't think it made a huge difference.

    CF = (Range *1.25 + Error + Arm * .75) / 3
    RF = (Range *.75 + Error + Arm * 1.25) /3

    To me what separates a CF/RF is range and arm strength. Best arm always goes to RF, and the guy who covers the most ground goes to CF.

    As for the players I'd like to update on my Expos:
    Now sometimes SS and CF won't reach the full ratings.. I'm not sure why but if you post anybody that is a SS or CF just keep in mind if the number is low thats the max the game will allow
