Its a game that can be won. Facing teams coming off byes in back to back weeks will be tough.

Yeah, it looks like an easy win, but it's not.

K.C. always plays Oakland tough, even if the Raiders are undefeated in KC for the past four years.

They will have retooled their offense to suit Brady Quinn in their bye-week. They're coming off a bye-week, where they have had 14 days to prepare to face the Raiders.

K.C. should have an early game advantage against the Raiders. Still, assuming the Raiders don't commit 3 first half turnovers (and fail to get a kickoff) or fail to punt effectively in the second half, they should win the game.

After the poor performance against Jacksonville, it's safe to assume the Raiders will not have an 'easy' victory all season...

looking at the remainder of the schedule.. we can definitely beat 8 of the 10 teams on the schedule. that said.. this raider team is not a team that is going to go out, play a subpar game and and get wins. this game against the chiefs is such a game. raiders/chiefs is always tough, and they had the bye week to tailor the offense to brady quinn.

this team needs to improve in a number of spots but the drive that it has exhibited needs to continue to be in the forefront. effort and grit can overcome certain shortcomings and create opportunities. to make any run at 8-8 or even better..the drive needs to increase and the offense/defense needs improvement... remember this; SF was supposed to be a 6 win team last year and look where they went. The schedule is winnable, but our raiders will need to play their best to win...

There is not a single team in the NFL that is a push over. Including us, including the Chiefs. There are no for sure wins. IMO the saying any given Sunday is absolutey a factor that needs to be remembered. The Chiefs are coming off a bye and they have a dominant run game and some pretty decent D-linemen that get after the QB. And their linebackers are good. Even though their kicker is a Succop, he's good too. We need to bring it to them from the get and tear into them like a grizzly into a back woods hiker with no firearms.

and our next opponent plays tomorrow night, so they have extended time to rest n prepare...

but i think it's a good thing. playing rested teams brings the intensity level up. could get the team used to playing with high energy to dominate

Thumbs down Look what Hali had to say about the Raiders

Chiefs' Tamba Hali: Oakland Raiders always play dirty42By Kareem Copeland

The Oakland Raiders have been considered a kinder, gentler organization since the passing of Hall of Fame owner Al Davis. Not according Tamba Hali.

"It's a tradition," the Kansas City Chiefs linebacker told the Kansas City Star ahead of Sunday's matchup between the two longtime AFC West rivals. "The Raiders, they come in, they cheapshot, they hit you.

"I'm not saying names. It is what it is. We've got to be ready to play and keep our composure, stayed poised and be able to get this win."

The 2012 Raiders? The 2-4 Raiders? Did Bill Romanowski walk through that door? Did Steve Wisniewski turn back the clock? Did Jack Tatum re-sign?

The Raiders aren't even among the 15-most penalized teams in the NFL. These Raiders?

"The core guys that have been here, they understand what we've got going on Sunday," Hali said. "(The Raiders) are coming in and they're a good team and a fast team and they play dirty. We've got to come out swinging.

"We've got to be ready for that. You can let these guys come in and if they do it and you let them do it, they're going to enjoy themselves doing it and they'll run over you. So you have to be prepared for that and stay with the game plan."

Sometimes a reputation is hard to shake, apparently.

Has this guy even been around long enough to know what a tradition is?
This is more than likely a plan to cause the Refs to be super vigilent against the Raiders. Maybe he should have just talked about the tradition of hard hitting football and playing hated rivals.

I do not believe any "easy" opponents exist on the Raiders schedule. They have their work cut out for them every week, but if they play the type of defense they played against Atlanta and the second half against Jax, they can beat anyone on the schedule.

Its not a matter if can they, its a matter of will they.

Hali is just another Chief that people think is better than he is. Their roster is full of them...Cassel, Charles, Hillis, Bowe, Baldwin, Moeaki, Hali, Routt, Flowers, Berry, etc.

That is true, although I would love E Berry here in Oakland.
