The Monster is starting (I'm sure you all know that)

Connolly and Bozak should be playing, Kadri has been sent back to the Marlies

King Henrik has been ridiculous this year...Gusty's gonna have to pretty much put up a shutout.

I think Gustavsson will show up for this one. Gustavsson and Lundqvist have a thing. They are former teammates, starter/backup battle between them. Gustavsson will show up for this one.

Leafs will need to solve Lundqvist early though. Get Jonas a lead to work with. They will also need to hold off the Richards/Gaborik combo. If they can score early and stop Richards/Gabby, they'll win.

Gabby always gets the best from us. He gets 3 goals early.

Outside of goaltending the Leafs have a better team than the Rangers, but we all know how goalies can steal games and King Henrik is one of the very best at it. If the Rangers didn't have him they'd be a bottom 5 team in the conference. Sure Gaborik and Richards are great but outside of those 2 who do they have? Dubinsky and Callahan? Not that impressive...and with Staal out for ages their D is pretty thin.

It would be nice to see Lost Nettie come up with a big game against his rival but they've met a few times before and he forgot they were playing both times.

who said i gave you permission to steal my gt?

and tito, i think you're underestimating the Rangers a little bit. This is, after all, going to be their first home game. They haven't had alot of time to practice with the ****ing European trip and the 3 exhibition games in 4 days in 4 countries over there, and then a western canada trip. Dubinsky and Callahan are off to slow starts but are both 50+ point players imo. On defense McDonagh has stepped up nicely and Sauer is back so that'll help.

anyways good luck! hopefully no injuries.

    Creed: I don't know.

Kadri gets to the Marlies just in time to embark on a 9 game, 18 day road trip that goes all the way down to TEXAS and back on the bus. Think he'll be motivated to make it back to the Leafs? Think Scrivens is thanking his lucky stars he gets to stay in cushy New York and fly to Pittsburgh on Saturday on a Private Jet vs that road trip? lol

Connolly with his first bad turnover as a Leaf...all he needs to do is not make any mistakes tonight and I'll be pretty happy. He's not going to be at his best tonight.

That was a bad goal...made an enormous save on Gaborik but gave up an easy one to Girardi. Haven't seen the replay yet, hoping it was tipped or something...

Well Gus should have had that one.
“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

Solid start aside from that goal. Funny how it works, i think it was Lombo who couldn't get it out and we pay for it.

Ugly ugly ugly goal on Jonas. He's gotta recover from that one and shake it off.
