I'm all for a one or two year deal, and drafting a RB in he second or third round, and making Benson earn the job and then help the rookie. With the division were in, Defense is a necessity. And I think a S with our other first rounder would put us that much closer to the next level. More so than a RB in the first.
The thing is, we already had agood O-line last year and Benson was terrible nonetheless, not happy with being bad in the 1st half of the season he started fumbling like crazy by the end.
For the draft gotta be 2 of this four, DeCastro, Barron, Jenkins/Kirkpatrick, DeCastro probably won't be available so we can grab Osemele in the 2nd round, making it Jenkins/Kirk + Barron + Osemele, very solid IMO.
About RB, someone like Lynch and a middle rounder like LaMichael James to complement him should be enough.
I'm really excited for next year we can fix our problems in the draft alone and STILL have like 40 million bucks to spend.

With all that said about not taking a RB in the 1st if Richardson somehow falls to #17 you can't pass when you have the need, he is a Peterson-like prospect keep in mind. But trading up is not a good idea IMO

Right now looks like Richardson falling to us is a real possibility, most teams are scared about his knee so they dont wanna risk a high pick in a RB (which is always a risky position to begin with) with a knee injury.

I'm scared that the Bucs, or Jets who are right before us will take Trent, I will absolutely love if he slides to us, however if he slides past top 10, I think we should trade up

Lamar Miller(Miami) ran a 4.40, best time by a RB. LaMichael James tied for the 2nd best time with 4.45.

Those are the type of guys I want, game breakers.

I would not mind Lamar or LaMichael, however I would take them with our 2nd if they fell or Doug Martin from Boise. Btw how do you guys feel about us trying to get Mike Wallace? I'm all up for it

Me too, I would give him a big contract with no hesitation.
About Richardson, I cant see him going to TB, I think they're a lock to take Claiborne, they need a CB more than us if that is even possible.
I'm not as high on him as I were, if he falls to #17 fine, draft him but no need to trade up because as you guys said we'll have good options at de 2nd and 3rd rounds.

LMJ would be a 2nd-3rd round guy, Miller would have to be a 1st rounder or trade up for an early 2nd I believe.
