Cubs fan here new to the site. I just want to say I'm rooting for you guys after the way Dempster screwed both organizations and nothing would make me happier than to see you guys win it all while he keeps getting bombed in Texas. I know I can look up scouting reports and whatnot but I wanted more of a fans perspective on what the Cubs got back in Arodys Vizcaino. Do any of you guys see him as a starter going forward? Or mostly a closer? I assume Theo and Co. are looking to make him a starter. Good luck the rest of the way and am glad to see Reed and Maholm helping you guys out!

^When healthy Vizcaino I believe was our second best prospect behind Teheran, I think the Tommy John will actually help him because he had already tried to rehab his elbow once without it. He throws hard, has good control and a devastating curveball. He can step in right away as a set up man but I think he can flourish as a starter personally I think Theo will at least try him as a starter

CHAMP BAILEY!!
ajc.ajcbraves #Braves prospect Julio Teheran at Triple-A Gwinnett tonight: 8 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, season-high 9 K's
not too shabby..
Alex Wood is having some great success thus far.
10 GS, 39 IP, 25 H, 11 R (6 earned), HR, 36/9 K/BB, 1.88 GO/AO, .184 AVG..
He's got a shot to fly through the farm system.
Real excited about this kid, i've heard people say he reminds them of a left handed Ben Sheets because of his throwing motion and fastball/curveball combination is similar to Sheets from is hey day. At worst, if he doesn't develop a 3rd/4th pitch we are looking at a dominant back end of the bullpen guy with his fastball/curveball combo.
Anyone know what Alex is hitting on the gun?
