Bryan LaHair the Cubs 1B, who is having a good season. Only was up twice from the minors before starting this season.

So I see this is your 4th post... welcome to the club! Gattis is still just 1 year into pro ball. Our OF is jammed packed... you would have to get rid of Diaz, Hinske, or constanza. Boscan is up because of Ross' injury and Wilson can not be replaced without bringing up a back up SS. In the log term this will most likely be Pastor. Boscan will most likely go down when Chipper come back.

Gattis was still on the DL or had just come off a few days ago in the minors. He isn't MLB ready with only 16 games of AA ball under his belt anyways.

Hinske is a solid PROVEN PH we should be in no way trying to rush Gattis... I would love to see him on the team next year as a 4th/5th OF and back up C (3rd string)

Gattis is actually in his 3rd year of pro ball. We drafted him at the age of 23 in the 2010 draft and he played 60 games in the rookie league hitting .288/.339/387 and played 88 games in Rome last season hitting .322/.417/.714

In 21 games in Lynchburg this season he hit .385/.468/.821 and has hit .274/.348/.581 in AA Mississippi. Still... calling him up now to sit on the bench would be a huge mistake. This guy could develop into an impact bat and needs to play everyday... and he has to get healthy first anyways.

If the team wants to make a change on the bench, there are plenty of options in AAA.

1B Ernesto Meija is hitting .314 with 10 HR
OF Jordan Paraz hitting .305 with a .377 OBP
OF Luis Durango hitting .270 with 23SB
OF Stephan Gartrell hitting .259 with 11 HR

These are the role player type guys who should be considered for a bench role.

Didn't see he played the year we drafted him... so he is 2+ years in... but as you said... not right now.

And he should stay for a while. He is really taking medlen's spot in the pen. I am happy that he is going to get a prolonged shot

Is there specific reasons you think that or?

Inconsistency in the minors. Not bad, but extremely inconsistent. Looks like a monster one year then average the next year. Granted he hasn't been bad in the bigs this year it is still very early. Also if he was really that good he wouldn't have been in the minors for 9 years. Not saying Gattis is any better (looks like a possible Hamilton) with his former drug issues his pass two seasons could go to **** in a heart beat. Also he has to make the move to OF and idk of he can do that. Not bashing lahair, just a fan of consistency and that's why it is so hard for me to latch on to "favorite" players. Minus Delgado and idk why lol.

Chris Garcia a 1B for Advanced A ball. He has never hit less than .303 and never had an OBP less than .405. Not bad at all his power just came in last year, but the only problem is can he make a jump from 1B to OF or 3B?

He played 31 games at 3B in 09' and had 11 errors with a .884 Fld%, I do not think he can.
