The Rangers have announced that they have signed defenseman Brendan Bell.
Bell, 28, has 28 career points in 101 games split between Ottawa, Phoenix and Toronto.
He is 6-2 and 211 lbs and has played in 374 career AHL games.
Bell played 29 games in the Swiss league last season and one game in the KHL.
He was a third round pick of Toronto in 2001.
Seems like a move for the Whale, especially after Mikhail Pashnin went back to Russia. It gives them more depth in the organization as well as a veteran to go along with all the kids that they have on defense.
