And because it is a 3 year deal it takes up his first UFA eligable year, which could be good.

Not bad we all basically figured between 1.5-2 mill so in the middle is pretty good.

Now lets get Dubi and Cally done with some good cap hits.

correction on my part, bought out 2 UFA yers, so that is good news. I'm not expecting a 20 goal season (but would definitely welcome it) but if Boyle can score 12-15, throw his body, kill penalties and play solid 2 way hockey then this is a gopd deal. Easy contract to move too if we have to, but I don't really want to have to do that just yet lol.

That's a fair contract. From what I've been hearing about him he's still working hard this offseason to be the same type of player he was last year so I don't see his production dropping unless he loses ice time due to Richards being here.

It's being reported by everyone that it's 3 years 5.1 million so it is 1.7 per according to yahoo and cbssports.

This is a nice deal. Fair money. Right length of time. The guy has ability- he was a 1st round pick and is only 26 or 27. Plus, his skating, play on the PK, and his ability in the circle have really improved.
