Huskers are selected for the Capital One Bowl in Orlando and will face South Carolina at 2pm EST. This will be the first Florida bowl game for Nebraska since the 1997-98 Orange Bowl when they blew out Peyton Manning's Tennessee team on the way to their 5th national championship. South Carolina is currently ranked #9 in the BCS rankings, so there will be no problem with any lack of motivation for Nebraska! I like our chances in this one!

5 more days, looking forward to this one. It's been a few years since we faced a top 10 team in a bowl game, and this is a team I truly expect to see Nebraska beat.

Nebraska's uniforms will not look at all familiar when they play Wisconsin this year. Apparently Wisconsin will be wearing something different as well.

To be perfectly honest, I think they're hideous and gimmicky. I hate cheap gimmicks and that is exactly what this is.

There not bad. I'm not usually crazy about Adidas alternate jerseys and I think overall Nike does a better job, but these are one of their better ones i think. Also, Its definitley a Gimmick, but its also the future of College Football. If there is a way to make more money they will do it.

Black helmets are weird for Nebraska. They should have modified the white helmet not changed it completely. The Jersey's look like your typical goofy alternates these days.

Nebraska has won 412 games since 1970, the highest total in the nation. The Huskers have won 26 more games than second-place Oklahoma. Only four schools in the nation have won 370 games since 1970, and three of those schools are members of the Big Ten Conference.

Don't get your hopes up. In previous years, they rarely say anything negative.
If they brag up a player, then they obviously like them.

But if they say something like "player A looks better than in spring drills", then that's about as negative as they will get.

Fun to watch them talk about your team, but you won't get much insight.

A few stats from the Southern Miss game:
Total yards: Nebraska 632 Southern Miss 260
Passing: Taylor Martinez 26/34 for 354 yards and 5 TDs......zero turnovers!
Huskers did not have a 100 yard rusher but as a team rushed for 278 yards and averaged 6.2 yards per carry.


This week's game at UCLA kicks off at 4:30pm local time in Pasadena. I'm not sure about TV coverage, ESPN shows nothing.
