We could package some guys like a Span and a prospect or 2 for a top end of the rotation starter. It would be nice to have a guy in the rotation who has a mid 90s heater and averages a K a game. Because untill we get our pitching shored up, we arent going anywhere.

May 25 and the Twins finally got a starter that won his 2nd game. Taylor Duffey is now 2-3 on the season. None of the other pitchers have won as many the closer.

An odd ending to a pretty good game, but we'll take it. 2-4-5-6 DP? How often does that get into a box score.
Sano is warming up. Mauer looks good at the plate. Nunez has been pretty consistent. Dozier may be coming back.
The first 3-game winning streak all year.

The Twins announced today that Phil Hughes will work out of the bullpen for the time being. Kyle Gibson will return to the team and be in the rotation.

Since his recall, Buxton is the Twins' best hitter. Yes it's a small sample, but it is very promising.

2 in a row over the Marlins. Nolasco looked good until the 5th and the bullpen did a good job for the 2nd night in a row. Brandon Kintzler picked up his 1st major league save. Abad was in the pen to back him up if he got into trouble. 7-5 with a few homers again tonight.

    Minnesota Twins Organization News

I'm not impressed with the new front office hire. I read a lot of stories about how other candidates turned the job down because they couldn't fire Molitor and some said that we are to far behind the times that it would take 6-8 years before we are contenders.

I truly believe that if Torii Hunter had been on this team they would have finished at least 20 games better in the standings. His leadership was definitely missed this season. Mauer is not a leader. Dozier had his "scuffles" in the first half, but has come on to be the best player on the team. I look for him to be the leader of the position players next season.

I'll reopen it if there is talk of trading him elsewhere.

I am pretty sure that the Twin's will keep Dozier but if you want to reopen there may be a few thoughts.

After looking at the scene and reading some.... Tampa is looking to now likely move some pitching for offense and has a glaring hole at second base. Oderrizzi is the likely odd man out. He will be arbitration eligible until 2020.... then a FA. Not sure but I would see a fit if TB could throw a bone or two in. I would be fine with that as he is still pretty young and is in his prime. It would kind of depend on the bone or two for me.

With our pitching Coach from the Tampa sytem there may be some connection....... Just connecting the dots.

Re-opened. As to dealing Dozier to Tampa, some of their young pitchers would look good in Twins' uniforms. They have some good ones.

Why would the Rays want Dozier? They are just as bad as the Twins. Makes no sense. The Twins missed their chance to score with a trade to the Dodgers. DeLeon was a nice return for Forsythe. You can say LF isn't the hitter BD is but we have only seen one year. LF plays all over and steals some bases. Zobrist type that will fit right in with the Dodgers.
