Some in Washington were interested in him as a reliever, but I'm sure most of that had to do with the fact that Washington is already loaded with young stud starters, it's pretty hard to crack that rotaion.

Should we expect Kyle Gibson to be in the rotation at some point this year?

I think it unlikely he wouldn't . With the lack of options he may make the team out of spring training. Might be best to wait until June though to avoid Super Two status. It seems silly to think about now, but the Twins are going to be calling up a bunch of top prospects over the next couple of years which means they are going to have to be careful about screwing themselves in arbitration in about a half decade.

Unfortunately, that is the nature of the business. I see the same scenario.

Twins sign SP Kevin Correia. Not a terrible move, but not a lot of fans will like it because he is another one of those bottom of the rotation type pitchers.

Not necessarily a bad signing. I'd much rather have Marcum or Jackson though.

Correia isnt a flashy name like Marcum or Jackson, but if he keeps Hendriks off the field i like the move.

props to VCU for the sig!

I think this link is pretty cool. It is a link to the statistics of all Twins players in a winter league right now.

Sano sticks out a bit to me

Colabello has done very nicely also. Maybe the Twins will give him an official invite to spring training?

I think it likely he'll get an invite, and if he produces he may even get a legit look for the 25 man if the Twins decide to roll with Parmelee as the right fielder. I don't see him making the team, but I find it likely that he'll be one of the last names cut. He could turn out to be a late bloomer like Bryan LaHair or Michael Morse.

I'm also curious where Nate Roberts ends up. Due to injury, he probably unjustly was forced to stay at Beloit for the last year despite a good track record and being a little old for the league. He probably should go straight to New Britain but I wonder if the Twins would let him skip Ft. Myers. He's another guy killing it in winter ball.
