2nd best WR of all time. He'd better make it.

When people look back on his career, I hope the good outweighs the bad. He should be a lock five years as soon as he retires.

I think TO is a HOFer, although he most likely won't get in on the first ballot when guys like Cris Carter and Tim Brown are still waiting. If TO doesn't get in the HOF b/c of character issues then that's BS. The HOF isn't about who's a great humanitarian, it's about being amongst the best, and TO is one of the best WRs to ever play.

He should be a 1st ballot but he wont be and by the way he acted his entire career in most situations it looks good on him. He will get in though 2nd or 3rd try id say.

If he doesn't the hall means nothing to me. He is the 3rd best WR to ever play in my eyes and was a work horse. If politics keep him out than the hall loses credibility.

I don't see how they could keep him out. I've said it for a couple years now, TO is the only player who could take stab at Jerry Rice's career Receiving TD record. He's at 153, Rice is 197. I know it sounds ridiculous, but few players have kept themselves in as good shape as he has, and while he is 37, he did score 9 TDs last year. Of course, he won't do it, but the fact that if he had a few more seasons like he did last year at the age of 36, he could approach the record is pretty incredible. He's an all-time great receiver, an all-time great competitor (his Super Bowl performance would have gone down as one of the gutsy-est ever if they had won), and a great entertainer.

He has said and done some stupid things, but to be honest, with all the mind-numbingly stupid things other NFL stars have done in the past decade, Owens' antics seem pretty average. Oh, he held out for a big contract. Oh, he criticized his teammates. Oh, his celebrations sometimes show up his opponents. In retrospect, guy's a saint compared to some of the other idiots the NFL has had to deal with.
