never really had to get out of first gear over both legs, pretty regulation.

Their play acting and diving is only a prelude to whats to come however. Loved the ref, didn't fall for their **** as much as he could have, and didn't take their verbal ****. Looking forward to the audience with Lionel though.

watching on the portuguese channel.. noone even saw Maxi get the first card....

Benfica had 2 CB's who have never played CB.... (Javi Garcia has played minimal time there, but Emerson haas never... and he sucks at his position so what makes anyone think he'd be better out of position?)

I'm proud of the display from Javi, Gaitan, Witsel and others... to say Chelsea never kicked it out of first gear is laughable... considering they could've easily lost today...

we didn't though. It just seemed like we coasted, especially vs 10 men. When we needed a goal at the end, we got it. If we had a little more drive it could have easily been 4 or 5-0 given the chances we had tonight (ramires )

It just felt like a really pedestrian game is all, I can only recall Cech's wonder save as your only other chance to the goal, which again, was Chelsea defending in 1st gear...woeful.

But Mourinho, who has complained that officials favour Barcelona, does not anticipate facing the Blues.
"It could be Bayern or Barcelona, I just don't think it will be Real Madrid v Chelsea and we know why," he said.
"Barcelona aren't the favourites, they are super-favourites."
Real have beaten Spanish rivals Barcelona just once in 10 meetings since Mourinho moved to the Bernabeu from Inter Milan in 2010.
Mourinho has previously claimed it is "impossible to win" at the Nou Camp and has been involved in a string of rows with the Catalan club dating back to his time at Chelsea.

RDM has ruled out Terry, Cole, and pretty much Lampard for tomorrow. Really happy Cole got injured cause he a) he needs a rest b) him getting injured is the only way he was going to get it (ankle) and c) we'll get to see if Bertrand is up for it against Wigan's 3 man defense.

Yes with the spurs drawing and the win the gap is only getting smaller. We have some big games left tho against arsenal and newcastle.

city-arsenal tomorrow, we beat Fulham (no easy task) and we overtake them actually, granted they have a game in hand. 4th place will hinge on the game at the emirates on the 21st.

I can't watch or I don't really wake up that early to watch Chelsea play that much but I read the post match report how'd Torres look? It said he had a few chances, was it just hard luck and the keeper save it or did he mess up?
