    Trade Ideas Thread

Omri Casspi and Donte Greene are available.

    Josh Smith is available.

Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap can be had.

Michael Beasley, Anthony Randolph are more easily available (despite what Khan says).

    Other guys
    Robin Lopez (PHX)
    Andris Biedrins (GSW)
    Monta Ellis (GSW)
    Eric Maynor (OKC)
    Rip Hamilton (DET)
    Baron Davis (CLE)

Casspi would be a nice add, but I don't know how much it would take to get him.

Considering the prices we have to pay, I would like Millsap, Lopez, and Rip. Lopez and Rip can be had for real cheap, we have the pieces to get them.

I don't know what Utah wants for Millsap, but I'm guessing it's a SF. We can center a deal around DJames. I mean I know it's not much but if they really want to let him go and if DJames + Williams + picks can do it I'd be very happy. Then I would try to sign Rip to play SF. Can he play SF or is he too skinny?

As for Beasley, he would be nice but I don't want to give up much. In other words, if they don't take a low offer I'd pass on him. I'd try Morrow + 1st rd pick 2-3 years later.

If we could field a lineup of

    DWILL
    Brooks
    Hamilton
    Millsap/Hump
    Lopez

I think that team could go far.

Only worth it if we got Melo and Billups back.

Jason Thompson is available? He's an interesting player. I bet he can be had for little if They traded Omri and a first to get JJ.

Anyone read about us making our books look like we lost hundreds of millions when we lost around $20 million in two years?

    Who the hell wanted Billups?

And Owners lying about their finances? Hard to believe.

JJ Hickson for a few headbands and Omri Casspi

Read this deal a bit earlier: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/s...coreboard:nba:

.. And just asking myself why cant the Nets make a deal like that?

Sacto aquires a guy with better stats than Nene - who everyone seems to want - for an 8th man off the bench who is nothing but a 41% chucker.

Not saying he would have been a perfect fit. But he would have worked well money wise without hurting our flexibilty - and would have been a huge increase in talent and athleticism.

We need a deal to get a solid player - who might not be meshing with his current team - for a spare part.

Hickson would have looked great in a Nets uniform getting 25-30 mins a game.

From what I've heard for some Cavs fans is that he has stone hands and makes a ton of mental mistakes. Plus he doesn't play defense or so I hear. I actually like this trade alot more for Cle than Sac. Sacremento has a ton of puzzle pieces, that all look good individually, but are awful as a collective.
