I would be shocked if the Nets did not get another Euro stash. A dream would be moving up into the mid teens and getting Shabazz to backup SF and potentially replace Wallace next year.

We currently hold the #22 pick, with rumors out there that Minnesota is interested to trade for Brooks. Minnesota holds the #26 pick. I would then look to buy a pick, which usually costs around 3 million for a first round pick. But with this yearís draft not being the best, we should try to buy a pick between 2-2.5 million. I think the Clippers would want out of there pick at #25.

If we were able to get 3 draft picks, #22, #25, #26, you would think you could hit big with 1 of them and then hopefully get a nice role player with 1 of the other picks. I know this isnít a good draft but there are always guys late in the first round that become good NBA players.
With 1 of our picks I would look to grab a big. Iím looking at either Gorgui Dieng or Jeff Withey. Both guys will help us with rebounding and interior defense.

Next I would be looking to get a backup SF. Tony Mitchell is a player that I would look to get. Heís an athletic SF, at 6í9Ē, who can run the floor and can guard multiple positions. He needs some work on his shooting but that should improve with practice in the NBA. He has potential to be a Kawhi Leonard type player.

With the last pick, I think we need to target a backup PG for D-will or a knock down pure 3-pt shooter. Tim Hardaway Jr is the player Iím potentially looking at here. Heís a hardworking player who you know will improve on his game. He has a good jump shot and is still improving on it. I think he could be compared to Rip Hamilton.

A nice group of role players and hopefully 1 turns into more.

looks like a lot of the "experts" see the nets taking the best available center on their board.

withey, dieng, and plumlee would fall under that category. i like this idea because it allows blatche to play the 4.

    williams/taylor
    johnson/brooks
    wallace
    evans/blatche/humphries/teletovic
    lopez/deing

as you can see, there is a logjam at the PF spot. that is why trading humphries needs to happen. upgrades at the backup PG spot and SF are needed. Kidd wants to use dwill at the 2 and taylor is not gonna cut it in crunch time. not sure who the nets will be able to sign for the minimum but they will need to for one of the spots.

also, teletovic is nice for a change of pace but it seems like he fell out of the rotation. maybe that will change with kidd.

and with the amount of bigs already on the team, i would not be surprised to see them take a PG or SF and trade hump for the other position.

they only have one pick from what i have looked at so they need to get it right.

Hopefully we can get Dieng at 22. Marshon for the 26th would be really disapointing, this draft really isn't offering much.

I see no reason to trade MarShon for a pick in this draft unless he is in a deal to get into the top 8.

I have seen rumors linking us to the 26th pick and 13th

I would not mind trading for both whatever it takes if that means losing Shon then fine. Dallas wants to trade 13th for cheap to make a run at dwight so th pick doesn't go against the cap.

13th take Shabazz(PLEASE NO EURO PLAYER, supposivily we are really interested in that small forward Sergey Karasev)

Shabazz will be a perfect fit.

22nd You have to take Dieng, if hes gone then take Tony Mitchell.

26th TAKE A CHANCE ON RICHARD LEDO, my god that dude can play.

try not to draft a back-up point guard, give tyshawn a chance to prove himself.

    Dwill/Tyshawn
    JJ/ Ledo
    Walllace/ Shabazz
Evans / Hump / Blatche* put him this late in depth chart because theres a slim chance he comes back
    Lopez/ Dieng(Plumlee)

Pipe Dream but its decently realistic

Some people are against trading Brooks, and I understand why with his potential. But he couldn't stay on the court with two different coaches now, and he might not get a chance next year with Bojan Bogdanovic most likely coming over. If they can get a backup big at 22, it sounds like they'll dump Brooks for 26. Picking up a backup big, a backup small forward that can shoot, and bringing over Bogdanovic isn't a bad start to upgrading the bench.
