    Welcome back Rochester

Its a done deal. Pegula purchased the Rochester Americans for 5 million dollars. The deal with Buffalo and Portland will be bought out within 2 weeks. Rochester will be back as our AHL team for the 2012 season.

Now the question is, does the Stadium come with it. It is rumored in Rochester that Pegula wants to revamp the entire Arena, and make it the same pro style arena that the HSBC Arena is. He wants to make it the best AHL Stadium that is out there, to better entice rookies to sign and play here from this country as well as Europe. The belief is, if a young free agent hot shot Europian player comes to this country, knowing he has to slum it in the minors for a year or two, the player would prefer Rochesters arena and prolike atmosphere then going somewhere else where the fans are still sitting on bleachers.

Woot, hockey is back to being relevant in Rochester NY. I get to see Kassian this season coming up. God bless Pegula.

Were the Panthers affiliated with Rochester still? If so, what happens there?
